Jin Young is returning to the big screen with the film Fighter.
On the morning of November 3, his agency, Management Run, announced, "Our agency's actor Jin Young is preparing to meet audiences through the film Fighter, with powerful fight scenes. You can look forward not only to Jin Young's raw and emotionally charged portrayal of a man who fights to protect his family, but also to a more intense side of the actor that he has not shown before."
Fighter is a youth crime action film about Hye Sung (Jin Young), an unknown MMA fighter who dreams of making it into the UFC. After taking on a dangerous job alongside his close friend Won Do (Kim Min Ho), he becomes entangled in an incident involving a cold wallet containing cryptocurrency worth 60 billion won.
In the film, Jin Young plays Hye Sung, a character who refuses to give up on his dream of making it into the UFC despite his difficult circumstances. While working to make ends meet and shouldering his younger sibling's medical expenses and debt, he continues to devote himself to training. He is also a strong-willed individual who stands up to immense threats to protect those around him.
Filming began on October 28, with the K-movie targeting a 2027 release.
