Disney+ has released main poster and trailer for Tempest.

Tempest tells the story of Moon Ju (Jun Ji Hyun), a diplomat and former ambassador to the U.S. with an international reputation, who, along with San Ho (Kang Dong Won), a special agent of unknown nationality, faces a truth threatening the Korean Peninsula.

The main poster, against the backdrop of a massive explosion, gives a glimpse of the characters, placed in dire situations that threaten the Korean Peninsula.

The main trailer commences with presidential candidate Jang Jun Ik (Park Hae Joon) being shot in a mass prayer, and Moon Ju rushing over to save him. She then decides to run for president in order to unveil the forces behind the assassination that shook South Korea, and becomes entangled in dangerous circumstances that threaten her life.

Meanwhile, San Ho receives an order from his higher-ups, “Our client wants you to be her bodyguard, but keep it a secret.” San Ho asks, “What does that mean?” The voice responds, “Widow of a South Korean politician, name of Moon Ju Seo.”

Sharp warnings from Yoo Woon Hak (Yoo Jae Myung), the head of the National Intelligence Service, saying, “Watch out for this man,” raise curiosity about what choice Moon will make.

Furthermore, the massive threat that could escalate into a third world war approaches the Korean Peninsula. Anderson Miller (John Cho), U.S. Deputy Secretary of State, struggles to alter the course of the storm; President Chae Kyung Shin (Kim Hae Sook) does her best from her position as the President; Im Ok Seon (Lee Mi Sook), chairwoman of Asum Shipping, controls South Korea’s political and business circles; and Prosecutor Jang Jun Sang (Oh Jung Se), who has ambitions to become the president, pursues Moon Ju.

While curiosity piques about who the real forces threatening world safety and the approaching storm, Moon Ju shows strong determination, saying, “If there’s a mastermind behind it all, I’ll find them.”

The tension arising from the clashing of the characters, each driven by their own desires, heighten the anticipation for the action-packed thriller.

Tempest will unveil three episodes on September 10, followed by two episodes weekly, for a total of nine episodes, only on Disney+. Watch the teaser here
