Jung Chae Yeon will reportedly join Lee Jun Young in the upcoming JTBC K-drama New Employee Chairman Kang.
On August 27, media outlets reported that Jung Chae Yeon will join Lee Jun Young as the main leads of the upcoming K-drama New Employee Chairman Kang. Lee Jun Young first got the offer to star in the series, and he is currently reviewing it.
Jung Chae Yeon's agency responded to the casting reports. According to BH Entertainment, "New Employee Chairman Kang is one of the works that has been offered to Jung Chae Yeon. She is currently reviewing it."
The idol actress is currently starring in the K-drama Beyond the Bar with Lee Jin Wook, Lee Hak Joo, Jeon Hye Bin, Kim Kang Min, and Lee Ju Yeon.
If Jung Chae Yeon confirms her casting, New Employee Chairman Kang will be her follow-up K-drama after Beyond the Bar.
Jung Chae Yeon started her acting career in 2015. She is best known for being part of the series Drinking Solo, Reunited Worlds, My First First Love, The King's Affection, The Golden Spoon, Family by Choice, and more.
New Employee Chairman Kang will focus on the story of a Chairman of the company who swaps souls with an intern because of an accident. The story will be depicted from the web novel of the same name, written by Sang Yeong (the same writer of Reborn Rich).
The upcoming K-drama will be the joint work of director Go Hye Jin (The Light in Your Eyes) and writers Kim Soon Ok (The Penthouse: War in Life) and Hyun Ji Min (Pandora: Beneath the Paradise).
Lee Jun Young will reportedly play the role of Kang Yong Ho, the "God of Business" and chairman of Choisung Group. After an accident, he is forced to live a second life. Meanwhile, details about the role offered to Jung Chae Yeon have not yet been revealed.
New Employee Chairman Kang will reportedly begin its broadcast on JTBC in 2026.
