Jung Eun Ji and Lee Jun Young's colleagues add to the chaotic dynamics in 'Pump Up the Healthy Love'
KBS unveils new stills from Pump Up the Healthy Love, featuring Lee Mi Ran (Jung Eun Ji) and Do Hyun Jung's (Lee Jun Young) colleagues.
Pump Up the Healthy Love follows Do Hyun Jung (Lee Jun Young), a vigorous fitness enthusiast, correcting the lives of novice gym members.
In the K-drama, Jung Eun Ji plays Lee Mi Ran, an assistant manager in charge of travel product planning and development at the travel agency Susu Tours. The stills offer a glimpse into Mi Ran's work life, as she is seen fully focused on her tasks. On the other hand, Mi Ran's colleagues react with surprise whenever they witness glimpses of her personal life.
In the K-drama, Jung Wook Jin plays Yeom Joon Seok, Mi Ran's ex, who also works on the same team as Mi Ran. Meanwhile, Nam Kyu Hee shines as Kim Ye Jin, Mi Ran's colleague who joined the company at the same time as her. Ye Jin grows anxious over Mi Ran's sudden bursts of groundbreaking ideas and her laid-back attitude. As complete opposites in every way, the dynamics between Mi Ran and Ye Jin are expected to be a key highlight of the drama.
Heo Jung Do plays Park Joon Bae, the head of the planning and development team. He secretly favors and supports Mi Ran, believing that she understands him well and responds perfectly to his thoughts. Meanwhile, Kwon Hae Woo and Shin Min Seo take on the roles of Yang Jae Sik and Shin Soo Yeon, respectively — members of the planning and development team.
Then there is Lee Jun Young, who plays Do Hyun Jung, a bodybuilding fanatic who goes from being a world-class bodybuilder to the owner of an old gym. Lee Mi Do and Lee Seung Woo appear as Rosa and Alex, employees at the gym.
Rosa is a veteran staff member of the gym, adept at handling even the most demanding members. She sees Hyun Jung, the new owner, as an unwelcome intruder and keeps him in check. On the other hand, the gym's mascot, Alex, idolizes Hyun Jung with complete devotion. His unwavering trust in Hyun Jung runs so deep that he's even ready to chug a cola — despite the risk of muscle loss — at Hyun Jung's command. This raises curiosity about what led Alex to develop such absolute faith in him.
With this, the supporting cast promises to keep prospective viewers engaged and entertained, building anticipation.
Pump Up the Healthy Love is set to premiere on April 30. News about the K-drama's global OTT platform is yet to come. Stay tuned!
