Pro Bono is a law drama that follows Kang David (Jung Kyung Ho), a materialistic judge obsessed with career advancement, who unintentionally becomes a public interest lawyer and ends up trapped in a corner office at a massive law firm.
The trailer opens with Kang David standing at the center of the courtroom of the Supreme Court (the biggest in the country) — a quintessential celebrity judge who is even asked by visitors to take photos with them. Hailed by all as the nation's judge, he appears full of satisfaction and happiness filling his life.
But the glory doesn't last long. Just as his promotion to Supreme Court Justice is within reach, a sudden crack tears through Kang David's life. Box of apples, wads of cash, trunk of his car — realizing instantly that something is terribly wrong, Kang David goes into shock.
Thus begins a new chapter in Kang David's life as he becomes the leader of the public-interest litigation team under the guidance of Oh Jung In (Lee Yoo Young), the CEO of the law firm. The bright and energetic welcome from Park Gi Ppeum (So Ju Yeon), Jang Yeong Sil (Yoon Na Moo), Yoo Nan Hui (Seo Hye Won), and Hwang Joon Woo (Kang Hyung Suk) contrasts sharply with Kang's expression, as he cannot hide his bewilderment over his sudden transition into a pro bono lawyer.
Kang David's increasingly dynamic work routine also intrigues. His hectic days unfold as he shuttles nonstop between the countryside and the city, meeting clients of all kinds and running through countless on-site situations. And at the end of it all, his powerful declaration — "I'm Attorney Kang David. Brace yourselves." — builds anticipation for his upcoming feats as a pro bono lawyer.
Pro Bono premieres on December 6. News about the global OTT is yet to come.
