Ra Mi Ran brings her signature charm to a shop owner role in new fantasy K-movie
Kim Hye Yoon brings a new twist to the nine-tailed fox legend in No Tail to Tell.
No Tail to Tell tells the story of a peculiar gumiho, Eun Ho (Kim Hye Yoon) — who, unlike the typical ones, avoids becoming human at all costs to enjoy all the fun things life has to offer — and narcissistic soccer star Kang Si Yeol (Lomon), who crosses paths with her.
The highlight teaser opens with the past of Eun Ho, her sorrowful voice saying, "I'm not going to become human. I won't love humans either. I won't live and die in misery."
What made Eun Ho decide not to become human or love them either?
For Eun Ho, the eccentric gumiho who avoids good deeds, living in the human world is like making in-game cash purchases — "enjoying only the fun parts, without hardship." Somehow, she gets involved with Kang Si Yeol, a "superstar soccer player who cares about no one but himself." And at the beginning of it all is Hyun Woo Seok (Jang Dong Joo), the "unlucky soccer player who was cut from the team."
Moved by Hyun Woo Seok's desperate plea, "Actually, I just can't quit like this," Kang Si Yeol takes out Eun Ho's "wish card." To show Kang Si Yeol — who doubts her abilities — Eun Ho fulfills Hyun Woo Seok's wish and makes Kang Si Yeol pay the price. Eun Ho's cryptic remark, "I changed the fates of both of you," contrasts with Kang Si Yeol's furious shout, "I can't live like that. No, I won't!"
Adding to the mix are the mysterious characters: Geum Ho (Lee Si Woo), the gumiho who lived with Eun Ho centuries ago and was like an elder sister to her; Lee Yun (Choi Seung Yoon), Eun Ho's VIP client and the fourth-generation heir of the Geumsu Group, for whom nothing is impossible with money; and Jang Do Cheol (Kim Tae Woo), a shaman who has come to hunt gumiho.
Meanwhile, the changing dynamics between Eun Ho and Kang Si Yeol, following the text "The moment of choice has finally come to the gumiho," hint at unexpected changes. Will the willful gumiho Eun Ho be able to recover the powers she let slip away?
No Tail to Tell is set to premiere on January 16, 2026. The K-drama will be available to stream on Netflix.
