Kim Nam Gil, Park Bo Gum, and Lee Hyun Wook are officially the main leads of the upcoming movie Canvas of Blood.

On October 17, it was officially confirmed that Kim Nam Gil, Park Bo Gum, and Lee Hyun Wook will work together for the upcoming thriller film Canvas of Blood. Reports stated that the movie had already begun filming last October 14. 

Canvas of Blood will revolve around the famous painting Dream Journey to the Peach Blossom Land. The artwork was completed by painter An Gyeon just three days after King Sejong's son, Prince Anpyeong, dictated the fantastic landscape he saw in a dream. The story will follow the story of Prince Anpyeong and his brother, Suyang, as they begin to dream of creating their own paradise following the painting's completion.

The upcoming film will be the next work of director Jang Hoon. He is best known for creating the films A Taxi Driver, The Front Line, Secret Reunion, and more. This will be his first historical film since his debut that he has directed.

Kim Nam Gil and Park Bo Gu will portray the role of the brothers.

Kim Nam Gil will take on the role of Suyang, a character driven by his desire to become King. He also attempts to understand his younger brother's hidden ambitions by analyzing the brother's painting.

Park Bo Gum will play the role of Anpyeong, Suyang's younger brother. A skilled calligrapher and recognized for his elegant appearance, Anpyeong possesses talents in poetry, writing, and painting, and enjoys collecting art. His role centers on him embodying the beautiful paradise he saw in his dream through a painting.

Lastly, Lee Hyun Wook will portray the role of An Gyeon, a painter and friend who best understands Anpyeong's art.

Aside from Kim Nam Gil, Park Bo Gum, and Lee Hyun Wook, Park Won Sang, Ryu Seung Soo, Cha Soon Bae, Kim Byung Chul, Kim Tae Hoon, Park Myung Hoon, and Kim Nam Hee will also star in the upcoming film.
