From the U.S. to Taiwan, 'Weak Hero' takes over Netflix worldwide upon Season 2's release
Kim Shin Rok transforms into Jin Myeong Sook, an ace with 15 years of experience working at a gukbap restaurant, in Tastefully Yours.
Tastefully Yours follows Han Beom Woo (Kang Ha Neul), a conglomerate heir who aims to inherit Korea's top food company, and Mo Yeon Joo (Go Min Si), a stubborn chef running a one-table restaurant without a signboard in Jeonju.
In the K-drama, Kim Shin Rok plays Jin Myeong Sook, an ace with 15 years of career experience at a gukbap (a Korean soup with cooked rice in it) restaurant. With a bold personality and friendly nature, she effortlessly sets a relaxed tone wherever she goes — a character completely opposite to the one Kim Shin Rok portrayed in Undercover High School.
But Jin Myeong Sook, always the mood maker and an all-rounder who seems capable of doing anything, also has a girlish side to her. Apart from her outgoing nature, she carries a dream close to her heart.
Curiosity piques as Jin Myeong Sook — an indispensable figure in the kitchen thanks to her solid fundamentals and instincts — is said to be venturing into an unexpected new direction. All eyes are on what this new step will entail and what it will result in.
Tastefully Yours will premiere on May 12. News about the K-drama's global OTT is yet to come.
