'Empress Ki' Baek Jin Hee expresses excitement about her upcoming marriage in handwritten letter
tvN's upcoming drama 100 Days of Lies (literal title) has announced its star-studded lineup.
Set during the Japanese colonial period, 100 Days of Lies tells the story of Gyeongseong's top pickpocket, who goes undercover to fight for independence, and the adopted son of the Inspector-General of Korea.
The cast includes Kim You Jung, Park Jin Young, Kim Hyun Joo, Lee Moo Saeng, and Jin Seon Kyu.

Kim You Jung transforms into Lee Ga Kyung, Gyeongseong's most skilled pickpocket, who goes undercover for 100 days as an interpreter trainee at the Japanese Government-General of Korea.
While desperately saving money to achieve her goal of going to the United States, she receives an offer to become a spy and infiltrate the Government-General. Kim You Jung shared, "It is an honor to take part in such a meaningful project. I will do my best, hoping it becomes a warm work that offers comfort to many people and encourages reflection on history and life. Please look forward to it and give it lots of support."
Park Jin Young delivers a passionate performance as Sato Hideo, the adopted son of the Inspector-General of Korea, who also goes by the name Kim Tae Woong. He is the newly appointed elite interpreter of the Japanese Government-General of Korea. At a dark time when Japan needed propaganda to justify its rule over Joseon, he — one of the rare individuals fluent in three languages at the time: English, Japanese, and Korean — returns to Joseon and takes on an important mission as an interpreter. Park Jin Young said, "As this project is set in a painful period of history, I am approaching filming with an even more careful mindset. I will do my best until the end to repay everyone with meaningful work."
Kim Hyun Joo plays Yoo So Ran, a sniper of the anti-Japanese resistance group Gugukdan who takes up a gun for revenge. Having a past entanglement with Sato Shinichi, she returned to Joseon after more than a decade by assuming the identity of a Chinese national married to Yoo Philip.
While carrying out an assassination mission targeting Sato Shinichi, she proposes a life-or-death deal to Lee Ga Kyung. Kim Hyun Joo said, "I feel it is very meaningful to be part of a project set in the 1930s. I hope to complete a meaningful project with the actors who have shown great chemistry since the script reading. Please look forward to it."
Lee Moo Saeng takes on the role of Yoo Philip, a Gyeongseong correspondent for an American media outlet. A Korean-American member of the Gugukdan, he is a journalist who fully exploits his position to sway the Inspector-General of Korea. Lee Moo Saeng said, "I'm thinking a lot about how to present 100 Days of Lies truthfully, but more than anything, I'm eager to meet the viewers soon. Today as well, I am going to the set with that feeling in my heart. I ask for a lot of expectation and love from you all."
Jin Seon Kyu plays the ambitious and cunning Sato Shinichi, the newly appointed Inspector-General of Korea and the father of Sato Hideo. As the second-in-command of the Japanese Government-General of Korea, he is the Gugukdan's number one target.
Jin Sun Kyu shared, "I'm looking forward to working with such wonderful actors." "I hope this drama will leave a deep impression on viewers. I will do my best in my role, so please show lots of interest and anticipation."
100 Days of Lies is set to air in the second half of 2026.
