'Pursuit of Jade' actor Deng Kai says he 'really likes reading negative comments'
Lee Byung Hun has been cast in the upcoming action film Nambeol.
On May 6, Hive Media Corp, the production company behind the film Nambeol, announced the news of Lee Byung Hun's casting.
Nambeol is a martial arts action film set in the early Joseon Dynasty. It follows nine warriors — each with different abilities and social ranks — as they head to Tsushima Island to rescue captives who have been abducted by Japanese pirates.
Lee Byung Hun is set to play Im Eok, the one who leads the mission to rescue Joseon captives held on Tsushima Island, guided by cool-headed judgement and an unwavering conviction honed through countless battles.
Nambeol is aiming to begin filming in the second half of this year.
