Actor Lee Byung Hun revealed his first meeting with the renowned director Park Chan Wook on Yoo Quiz on the Block Season 4.

In the latest episode of Yoo Quiz on the Block that aired on September 24, Lee Byung Hun and director Park Chan Wook appeared as guests for a special reunion and to promote their movie, No Other Choice.

Lee Byung Hun shared his first impressions of director Park Chan Wook, recalling their first meeting 25 years ago. The two began their long-standing collaboration with the 2000 film, Joint Security Area.

The renowned actor shared their first meeting, recalling, "My second movie had flopped, and my third movie was in theaters at the time. A director came up to me and said there was someone outside who wanted to meet with me."

Lee Byung Hun made everyone laugh by humorously describing director Park Chan Wook's first impression, "He was wearing a coat with a horse riding hairstyle, standing there holding a script." The actor joked that he didn't like the director's appearance at first.

Lee Byung Hun revealed that he rejected the script offered by director Park Chan Wook. After being discharged from the military, his manager gave him a new script. Unaware of who the director was, Lee Byung Hun read it, fell in love with the story, and decided he had to take the role. As it turned out, the script was given by Park Chan Wook once again, and it is the film Joint Security Area.

Following their work on the Joint Security Area, Lee Byung Hun and director Park Chan Wook have once again reunited for a new project, the thriller-comedy film No Other Choice.

No Other Choice is now officially available in Korean theaters. Aside from Lee Byung Hun, the film stars Son Ye Jin, Park Hee Soon, Lee Sung Min, Yeom Hye Ran, and Cha Seung Won.

After No Other Choice, Lee Byung Hun is set to lead the upcoming K-drama Post Pandemic. He will work alongside Cho Seung Woo, Lee Kyung Young, and Kim Yoon Seok in the web novel-based K-drama. 

Lee Byung Hun will also return to the romance genre with the upcoming film I Believe in a Thing Called Love
