New Bai Lu-led urban drama unveils cast at launch ceremony
Actors Lee Jun Ho and Hong Hwa Yeon have been cast as the leads of the fantasy romance drama Embassy for Foreign Monsters in Korea.
On July 23, tvN revealed the main cast lineup of Lee Junho and Hong Hwa Yeon for their upcoming drama Embassy for Foreign Monsters in Korea.
Embassy for Foreign Monsters in Korea is a rom-com about a rookie human diplomat who is accidentally assigned to the Embassy for Foreign Monsters in Korea, an institution responsible for managing monsters living in South Korea, and the ambassador who, unbeknownst to others, is actually a dragon.
Lee Jun Ho will play Cha Yeon, the head of the world's most mysterious embassy and a dragon who governs water.
Having remained on this land for more than a thousand years, Cha Yeon is a lonely being who is usually as gentle and tranquil as water but possesses a temperament that can become fiercely turbulent.
The drama will depict how his once-monotonous life begins to change when a human — whose lifespan does not even reach a hundred years — unexpectedly crash-lands into it.
Hong Hwa Yeon will play Go Mi Woo, a rookie diplomat. A former Asian Games gold medalist in archery, Go Mi Woo is assigned to the Embassy for Foreign Monsters in Korea — a place off-limits to humans — making her the embassy's only human staff member.
Embassy for Foreign Monsters in Korea is written by Shin Ha Eun (Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, Love Next Door). The series will be directed by Bae Hyun Jin.
