Choi Won Young confirmed to star alongside Nam Ji Hyun and Moon Sang Min in 'Dear Bandit'
Lee Jung Eun's fourth upcoming K-drama will possibly be Doctor X: Age of the White Mafia.
On April 1, media outlets reported that Lee Jung Eun is the next actor to receive an offer to star in Doctor X: Age of the White Mafia. Actress Kim Ji Won was offered the main lead role last February and is currently reviewing it.
With three upcoming K-dramas and two films already on her schedule, Doctor X: Age of the White Mafia could become Lee Jung Eun's sixth upcoming project.
Last year, Lee Jung Eun once again impressed viewers with her versatile acting in the K-dramas Light Shop, The Trunk, The Frog, and Miss Night and Day, showcasing her outstanding skills across various genres.
This year, the actress is set to star in the upcoming K-dramas Heavenly Ever After and A Hundred Memories. She is also part of the cast of the upcoming Disney+ K-drama Knock Off, the airing of which has been postponed due to the main lead's controversy.
Lee Jung Eun is also part of the cast of the upcoming films My Daughter Is a Zombie and Gyeongju Travelogue.
Doctor X: Age of the White Mafia will center on Ko Soo Jung, a genius surgeon with a hidden past, who uses her extraordinary surgical talents to dismantle a corrupt world.
Director Lee Jung Rim, who also created the hit series Revenant and V.I.P., will work on the upcoming K-drama. Studio Dragon and Studio S will produce it.
Kim Ji Won received the offer to play the main lead role, Ko Soo Jung. Lee Jung Eun was offered a role as Jung Hee Sook, who was once known as the 'monster' for being a genius surgeon. Currently, she works as the head of a medical staffing agency. Although they are not blood-related, Ko Soo Jung calls her aunt.
According to reports, the filming of the K-drama will begin in the second half of this year. It will premiere on SBS.
