tvN releases a new teaser for its upcoming rom-com Nice to Not Meet You.
Nice to Not Meet You follows Im Hyeon Jun (Lee Jung Jae), a famous actor who wishes to break free from his typecast detective roles, and Wi Jeong Sin (Im Ji Yeon), a political journalist demoted to the entertainment desk while covering a corruption case.
The newly released teaser gives a glimpse of the beginning of the fateful — and rather chaotic — relationship between the nation's star Im Hyeon Jun and entertainment reporter Wi Jeong Sin.
Im Hyeon Jun had been leading a peaceful life, running a small printing shop he started on his own. His quiet days take a dramatic turn when he comes across the script for "The Good Detective Kang Pil Gu", written by newbie writer Park Byung Ki (Jeon Sung Woo).
Moved by Park Byung Ki's earnest plea, Im Hyeon Jun takes on the role of Kang Pil Gu and soon sweeps major domestic and international award ceremonies, basking in the spotlight on the red carpet and relishing the dazzling life of a star.
However, the coming of Wi Jeong Sin, a tenacious entertainment reporter who pushes through throngs of people to hurl her relentless questions, disrupts Im Hyeon Jun's peaceful life.
As Im Hyeon Jun himself puts it, "There's never been a bad relationship quite like this one." Each encounter sparks nothing but bickering, making the humor all the more entertaining.
Whatever twisted fate binds them, Im Hyeon Jun tries to cut ties, warning, "Let's never get involved again," but to Wi Jeong Sin, his threat is nothing more than a joke.
Nice to Not Meet You is coming on November 3. The K-drama will be streaming on Prime Video.
