Lee Kwang Soo has responded to the speculations that he was not invited to Running Man fellow member Kim Jong Kook's recent wedding.
Kim Jong Kook surprised everyone with his marriage announcement, followed by a private wedding ceremony in a Seoul hotel just two weeks later. The event was kept small and exclusive, with only around 100 guests, and no photos from the wedding have been released to the public.
Although the wedding was held privately, Kim Jong Kook himself shared some details through his entertainment program. On the recent episode of My Little Old Boy, Kim Jong Kook revealed part of the guest list. Other cast members of the show were not part of it, while the MCs were included on the list.
Kim Jong Kook then clarified that his guest list only included people he sees at least once a week or talks to almost every day.
After a portion of the guest list was revealed, many people began to speculate that Lee Kwang Soo, who was Kim Jong Kook's former Eunning Man co-star, was not invited to the wedding. The speculation was fueled by the fact that while other Running Man cast members were included on the list, Lee Kwang Soo was reportedly excluded.
In the end, Lee Kwang Soo's agency finally responded to all the speculations. According to King Kong by Starship, Lee Kwang Soo was indeed invited to Kim Joong Kook's wedding. However, he wasn't able to attend because he was in Vietnam to promote his upcoming film Love Barista.
It was also revealed that Kim Jong Kook's wedding was attended by a total of 100 guests, with 50 invited by the bride and 50 by him.
Lee Kwang Soo is set to lead his upcoming film Love Barista with Vietnamese actress Hoang Ha. The film will hit theaters on October 3.
After the film, he will greet viewers with the upcoming Disney+ original K-drama The Manipulated with Ji Chang Wook, EXO's Doh Kyung Soo, Jo Yoon Soo, Yang Dong Geun, and Jung Heon.
Next year, Lee Kwang Soo will star in more projects such as the K-drama Gold Land and the films Gwanghwamun Jealousy Fight and The Sound of Your Heart.
