Actor Moon Sang Min will reportedly lead his first-ever Netflix original K-drama.
On October 13, media outlets reported that Moon Sang Min will be the main lead of the upcoming Netflix original K-drama Beauty in the Beast (working title). According to reports, he will portray the role of a senior actor.
Beauty in the Beast will tell the story of a freshman werewolf navigating love with a senior, all while facing the crisis of potentially exposing her identity. It's the modern version of the famous fairy tale.
Moon Sang Min has been offered the role of Kwon Hae Joon, the male senior who captures the female lead's heart. Despite his perfect visuals and effortless charm, he carries a complicated past.
Beauty in the Beast will be the collaboration work of director Jin Hyeok (The Tale of Lady Ok, Sisyphus: The Myth, and The Legend of the Blue Sea) and writer Jin Han Sae (Glitch and Extracurricular).
The upcoming K-drama will exclusively air on Netflix. Details regarding the filming schedule, release date, and full cast list have not yet been confirmed.
This will be the first-ever official Netflix original K-drama project of Moon Sang Min.
Aside from Beauty in the Beast, Moon Sang Min will also star in the upcoming K-drama To My Beloved Thief with Nam Ji Hyun, Ha Seok Jin, Kim Suk Hoon, Choi Won Young, and Hong Min Ki.
Before the year ends, Moon Sang Min will also join the upcoming film Pavane for the Dead Princess alongside Go Ah Sung, Byun Yo Han, Jin Seo Jin, Lee Yi Dam, and Seo Yi Ra.
Moon Sang Min made his acting debut in 2019. He is best known for being part of the K-dramas Cinderella at 2 AM, Wedding Impossible, Duty after School: Part 1 and 2, Under the Queen's Umbrella, and more.
