Kim Sae Ron's posthumous film 'Everyday, We' confirmed to premiere in 2026
The ongoing Japanese series Love Is for the Dogs will officially air on the Korean broadcast channel tvN soon.
On August 22, it was officially confirmed that Love Is for the Dogs, starring Japanese actors Kiyohara Kaya and Narita Ryo, and Korean actor Na In Woo, will begin airing on tvN starting on August 24 at 10:40 PM KST.
According to a Studio Dragon producer, "the company is pleased the series will be released on tvN, allowing it to reach more viewers. The co-production with TBS provided a great deal of insight into the differences between Korean and Japanese production methods." They also added that they hope viewers will gain a fresh perspective from Love Is for the Dogs, which represents a new collaborative effort by both countries.
The producer of TBS also shared that she was motivated to work on the series after reading the original story, which she found both realistic and full of potential. Reflecting on the show's theme, she expressed the thought, "If people could be as honest as dogs, it would be easier to live." She concluded with the hope that the drama's charm will reach a wider Korean audience thanks to its broadcast on tvN.
Love Is for the Dogs, a co-production between South Korea's Studio Dragon and Japan's TBS, is set to make history.
While the series already premiered in Japan on July 1 and was available for streaming in Korea on TVING, it will now be broadcast on the Korean channel tvN starting on August 24. This makes it the first Japanese terrestrial TV series to be aired on a Korean broadcasting network.
