'The Journey of Legend' actress responds to her controversy, while C-netz await drama's release
Namkoong Min comes to play a genius film director in Our Movie.
Our Movie follows Lee Je Ha (Namkoong Min), a film director with a past trauma, and Lee Da Eum (Jeon Yeo Been), an actress suffering from an incurable disease.
In the K-drama, Namkoong Min takes on the role of Lee Je Ha, a film director dreaming of a comeback. He is the son of a veteran film director and once gained immense popularity with his debut hit. But now, consumed by the belief that his past glory is fake, he has been unable to make his next film for five years.
However, after being persuaded by a producer close to him, Lee Je Ha decides to remake his father's masterpiece, which features a terminally ill character as the protagonist.
The stills capture director Lee Je Ha deeply immersed in working on his next project. Wearing headphones, focusing intently on the scenes playing on the monitor, and holding auditions in search of actors who will complete his film, he is the kind of professional who gives his all to his work.
The production team of Our Movie commented, "Lee Je Ha is a character who navigates a wave of complex emotions — from self-doubt and pressure, to a burning passion for films, and even a heart-wrenching affection."
They added, "Every time we watch Namkoong Min act, as he shows all the emotions Lee Je Ha has just as they are, it feels as if the character of Lee Je Ha has stepped straight out of the script and into reality."
Our Movie is coming on June 13, on Disney+ (select regions).
