JTBC unveils character stills from We Are All Trying Here, featuring Oh Jung Se (Tempest, Good Boy, Revenant, The Good Detective, It's Okay to Not Be Okay).
We Are All Trying Here follows the journey of Hwang Dong Man (Koo Kyo Hwan), who, being the only one whose life is not going well among a group of accomplished friends, is driven to anguish and madness by envy and jealousy. Employing "anxiety" as its key theme, the drama is expected to offer a "green light" to those who have come to a standstill at the warning signal of worthlessness.
The K-drama stars Koo Kyo Hwan, Go Youn Jung, Oh Jung Se, Kang Mal Geum, and Park Hae Joon, among others.
In the drama, Oh Jung Se plays Park Gyeong Se, a film director. Although he has made a name for himself by directing five feature-length films, he begins to reveal his inner turmoil after his most recent release fails at the box office.
Park is also strangely disturbed by the aspiring director Dong Man (Koo Kyo Hwan). He reacts sensitively to Dong Man's remark or even a line of writing, laying bare his emotions. This raises the question of why a director who has steadily built his career would be so unsettled by someone struggling.
The newly released stills show Gyeong Se appearing at a stage greeting. Though he stands before the audience holding a mic, a trace of anxiety is evident behind his smile. In another scene, he sits alone in front of a monitor, fully absorbed in his work, while elsewhere he wears a hardened expression, revealing the complexity of his inner turmoil.

The production team commented, "Oh Jung Se delicately portrays both the outward shell of a successful director and the emotions swirling beneath it," raising anticipation for Oh Jung Se's nuanced performance.
We Are All Trying Here is set to premiere on April 18. The K-drama is reported to stream on Netflix.
