Kim Sae Ron's posthumous film 'Everyday, We' confirmed to premiere in 2026
Actress Oh Ye Ju will reportedly return to K-dramas through SBS' Awakening.
On August 13, media outlets reported that Oh Ye Ju will work alongside Lee Jun Hyuk in the upcoming occult K-drama Awakening.
Oh Ye Ju's agency hasn't responded to the casting reports.
Awakening will tell the story of a high school student who transfers to a new academy and takes a stimulant to boost her grades. However, she soon finds herself hearing the voices of the dead, setting off a chain of mysterious events at her school.
Lee Jun Hyuk got the offer to portray the role of Antonio, who works as a teacher and is also an exorcist. Oh Ye Ju, on the other hand, will reportedly portray the role of Gong Ha Rang, a transferee student.
The upcoming K-drama will be the next work of director O Jun Hyeok, who is also known for creating the K-dramas The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection and The Escape of the Seven: War for Survival.
Awakening will be part of SBS' Friday and Saturday K-drama timeslot. It will reportedly air next year.

If Oh Ye Ju confirms her casting, this will be her comeback K-drama after a year.
Last year, Oh Ye Ju starred in several K-dramas such as Drama Special Season 15: To My Lonely Sister, Love Your Enemy, Gangnam B-Side, and No Gain, No Love. She also made her debut on the big screen in the film Troll Factory, led by Son Suk Ku, Kim Sung Cheol, Kim Dong Hwi, Hong Kyung, Lee Seon Hee, and Choi Deok Moon.
This year, Oh Ye Ju did not take on any projects.
Oh Ye Ju made her acting debut in 2021. She participated in the K-dramas Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, From Now On, Showtime!, Under the Queen's Umbrella, and more.
