Kim Sae Ron's posthumous film 'Everyday, We' confirmed to premiere in 2026
Yun Ji On, who became more known after Love Next Door, was caught driving under the influence (DUI).
On September 17, media outlets reported that Yun Ji On will be dropped from the upcoming Channel A K-drama Positively Yours after being caught drunk driving. The K-drama, which began filming in July, was originally scheduled to finish by December. Reports also stated that Yun Ji On had participated in filming until last week and was scheduled to continue this week, but his departure became inevitable after he was caught driving under the influence of alcohol.
Meanwhile, his agency, IEUM Hashtag, is reportedly verifying facts regarding his departure from the upcoming K-drama.
Yun Ji On started his acting career in 2013. Last year, the actor became more well-known after joining the cast of the K-drama Love Next Door. He showcased great chemistry with the main leads Jung Hae In, Jung So Min, and Kim Ji Eun. He also starred in the series Serendipity's Embrace and The Player 2: Master of Swindlers. Positively Yours could have been his follow-up work after Love Next Door.
This year, Yun Ji On did not appear in any projects.
Positively Yours will tell the story of a woman who becomes pregnant after a one-night affair with a stranger. The father's baby happened to be the company's chairman, and he demanded marriage. The story will be depicted from the webtoon of the same name, which is not only popular in Korea but also overseas. Instead of the school setting of the original webtoon, the K-drama will use the large company setting to show a more colorful story.
Choi Jin Hyuk, Oh Yeon Seo, and SISTAR's Kim Da Som will lead the upcoming K-drama.
This will be the next K-drama project of director Kim Jin Seong, who is also known for creating the works When the Stars Gossip, 11th Mom, and Surprise Party.
Positively Yours will reportedly premiere in the first half of 2026. There has been no official announcement regarding a delay in the premiere due to Yun Ji On's departure.
How do you think Channel A will handle Yun Ji On's role in Positively Yours? Will they cast a new actor or remove the character?
