Kim Sae Ron's posthumous film 'Everyday, We' confirmed to premiere in 2026
Actress Ji Ye Eun reportedly went on hiatus not because of burnout but actually because of a medical condition.
On October 15, media outlets revealed that Ji Ye Eun was diagnosed with hypothyroidism after seeking medical attention for poor health. Last month, the actress announced that she would temporarily suspend her broadcasting activities to focus on her health and rest.
Ji Ye Eun's agency then responded to the reports and stated, "It is difficult to confirm the details because our artist's medical information is a private matter." They also stated that they will provide all necessary support to ensure the actress gets enough rest and can return to her activities.
The entertainer and actress began her hiatus in September. When announcing the break, she stated only that, following a hospital visit for health issues and medical advice, she would take a temporary rest for about a month. Many also speculated that Ji Ye Eun's hiatus was due to burnout, as the actress has been busy with several projects this year.
On the October 12th episode of Running Man, Ji Ye Eun began her hiatus from the program and was not present on the show. Instead, former Running Man member Jeon So Min guested alongside Yang Se Chan's brother, Yang Se Hyung.

Ji Ye Eun started her career as an actress in 2017. She has starred in the K-dramas HOW-TO and Yellow. Last year, she also made a cameo appearance in the hit K-drama Good Partner.
She became more well-known to the public after being part of Coupang Play's Saturday Night Live Korea. Ji Ye Eun became even more famous after she became a member of the SBS long-running entertainment program Running Man.
Aside from Saturday Night Live Korea and Running Man, she is also best known for being part of the entertainment programs 60 Minutes to Love, Kian's Bizarre B&B, Date My Friend, Office Workers Season 1 and 2, and more.
Get well soon, Ji Ye Eun!
