Jennie's agency vows legal action over malicious content
Netflix has unveiled fresh stills for its upcoming series Mousetrap.
Mousetrap is a mystery chase thriller that follows Moon Jae (Ryu Jun Yeol), whose name, face, and entire life are stolen by a mysterious man known as "The Rat".
The stills add to the tension by capturing the characters who have entered The Rat's game for reasons of their own.
Moon Jae (Ryu Jun Yeol), seen arguing with community center officials and staring out the window in anger, vividly conveys the confusion of a man whose everyday life has fallen apart after his identity was stolen. Meanwhile, The Rat, who has the exact same face as Moon Jae yet exudes a cold demeanor in his neat attire, piques curiosity about the relationship between the two and why he stole Moon Jae's life.
Noh Ja (Sul Kyung Gu), with his intense gaze, reveals the rough-edged nature characteristic of a loan shark. Noh Ja initially sets out to find Moon Jae to recover the money he lost, but at some point, he is seen chasing The Rat alongside him. The scene showing the injured Moon Jae and Noh Ja wearing a bloodstained shirt foreshadows a life-or-death pursuit.
In another still, one can see Soon Yong (Lee Kyu Hyung) conducting a stakeout with his fellow detectives on a dark night.
As Soon Yong becomes entangled in The Rat's game for a reason unknown, curiosity is building over how close he will be able to get to the truth.
The scene of Moon Jae desperately holding onto the car carrying Soo Hyun (Moo Jin Sung) hints at a change in his relationship with Soo Hyun, his only friend who had taken care of every aspect of his life. Adding to this are Seung Gyu (Kim Sung Oh), who exudes a threatening presence alongside a group of men armed with steel pipes, and Myung Soo (Hyun Bong Sik), who stands alone in front of a container, foreshadowing how the relationships among the characters entangled in the story will become increasingly complicated.
Another key point to watch is how those who were once part of the same organization as Noh Ja in the past will become entangled with The Rat.
Mousetrap will be released exclusively on Netflix on August 28.
