Ryu Seung Ryong is officially confirmed to lead the upcoming novel-based K-drama The Story of Manager Kim, Who Works for a Large Company in Seoul.
On April 1, it was announced that Ryu Seung Ryong would lead the upcoming K-drama The Story of Manager Kim, Who Works for a Large Company in Seoul.
The upcoming K-drama will bring the story of the webtoon of the same name (written by Song Hui Gu) to life, centering on the character of Mr. Kim. It will portray the middle-aged man's journey to rebuild his life after enduring significant loss.
Ryu Seung Ryong will portray Kim Nak Soo, a highly successful salesman with 25 years of experience. Known for his excellence in both his professional and personal life, Kim Nak Soo consistently earned promotions and enjoyed an enviable life in a prime Seoul apartment with his wife and son. However, the K-drama will depict his journey of resilience and survival as he gradually loses his edge in both areas.
This will be the next work of director Jo Hyun Tak. He is known for creating the K-dramas The Atypical Family, Snowdrop, SKY Castle, and more. SLL and Varo Entertainment will produce the upcoming K-drama.
The Story of Manager Kim, Who Works for a Large Company in Seoul, will premiere in the second half of 2025. It will be shown exclusively on JTBC.
Ryu Seung Ryong will also return to Disney+ with the upcoming original K-drama Low Life. He will work alongside Yang Se Jong, Lim Soo Jung, Kim Eui Sung, Kim Sung Oh, and Kim Jong Soo.
