Kim Eui Sung is a South Korean actor and documentary producer, born in Seongdong, Seoul, South Korea, and affiliated with An Company (안컴퍼니). He graduated from Chonho Middle School (천호중학교), Yongdong High School (영동고등학교), and earned a B.A. in Business Administration from Seoul National University, College of Business Administration (서울대학교 경영대학) in 1984.

Kim began his acting career in 1987 as a member of the theater troupe Hangang (극단 한강). He had joined a theater club during college, performing across the country in a two-person play. Over the years, he worked with various theater troupes, including Cheonjiyeon (천지연), Hangang, Hanyang Repertory (한양레파토리), Yeonwoo Stage (연우무대), and Hakjeon (학전).

In 2001, Kim shifted his focus to production in Vietnam, taking roles as a representative and co-representative for FnC Media (FN씨미디어) and CJ Media (CJ미디어) starting in 2006. He initially explored the film distribution industry but faced challenges due to the prevalence of illegal VCDs and DVDs. He later transitioned into drama production, where he struggled to develop the necessary infrastructure amidst a local market still dominated by imported content.

Kim returned to acting in 2011 with the film The Day After (북촌방향) after reconnecting with director Hong Sang Soo (홍상수). In 2021, he took on his first lead role in the SBS drama Taxi Driver (모범택시).

Kim was married to film score composer Han Jeong Rim from 1999 to 2010. He completed his military service with wartime labor duty, exempt from active service for physical reasons. His ancestry traces back to the Gimhae Kim clan (김해 김씨).
