Shin Sae Kyeong and Park Hae Joon share thoughts on the upcoming Korean thriller Humint.

Humint tells the story of North and South Korean secret agents colliding in Vladivostok.

Shin Sae Kyeong commented, "From the moment I first read the script, there was no room for doubt, and I felt excited the entire time I was reading it. I thought it was an honor to be part of the project."

The actress plays Chae Seon Hwa, an employee at a North Korean restaurant in Vladivostok. She is a character intricately associated with all the others, including NIS agent Director Cho (Zo In Sung), who proposes that she become an informant, as well as Park Geon (Park Jeong Min) and Hwang Chi Sung (Park Hae Joon) — North Korean officials.

Director Ryu Seung Wan praised her, saying, "Shin Sae Kyeong's charm felt very new. She has a strong core, so it was a real pleasure to work together." "There's a unique impact that Shin Sae Kyeong's close-up images deliver on the big screen. Audiences will get to see a side of her they haven't seen before."

Park Hae Joon plays Hwang Chi Sung, a North Korean consul general stationed in Vladivostok. Revealing his decision to join the project, Park said, "I chose to be part of it because I have great trust in my fellow actors and in director Ryu Seung Wan."

Hwang Chi Sung comes into conflict with Park Geon (Park Jeong Min), a North Korean Ministry of State Security team leader who has come to Vladivostok to keep him under surveillance. Consumed by a lust for power, Hwang becomes a man whose actions no one can predict.

Director Ryu commented, "I needed a face that could maintain the fresh feel of the project, and I was drawn to the sense of the unexpectedness that Park Hae Joon brings, so I proposed — almost pleadingly — that we work together."

Park Hae Joon also shared, "It was a difficult character, so I had many concerns, but as I talked with the director, I discovered his appealing aspects and wanted to take on the challenge. It feels different from the characters I've played before, so I had a strong desire to do well."

Premiering February 11.
