So Ju Yeon's next K-drama will possibly be Pro Bono.
On April 22, media outlets reported that So Ju Yeon is joining Jung Kyung Ho in the upcoming comedy law K-drama Pro Bono.
Pro Bono will tell the story of lawyers who handle pro bono (for the public good in Latin) cases with zero fees and revenue.
So Ju Yeon got the offer to portray the role of Park Ki Bum, a top law school graduate who achieved her dream of becoming a lawyer. Meanwhile, Jung Kyung Ho is reportedly taking on the role of Kang David, a renowned judge who transitioned to pro bono work following an unexpected crisis.
According to reports, actress Lee Yoo Young will also star in the upcoming K-drama.
Pro Bono will be the joint work of director Kim Seong Yoon (Itaewon Class, Love in the Moonlight, and Who Are You: School 2015) and writer Moon Yoo Seok (The Devil Judge and Miss Hammurabi).
The upcoming K-drama will reportedly premiere in the second half of 2025.
This will possibly be the follow-up work of So Ju Yeon after the 2024 series The Midnight Romance in Hagwon. In the series, she worked alongside Jung Ryeo Won, Wi Ha Joon, Kim Jong Tae, Kim Jung Young, and Kil Hae Yeon.
Aside from Pro Bono, So Ju Yeon will also join the upcoming K-drama Sorry for Confessing with Kim Kang Min and Yeon Je Hyung.
This year, So Ju Yeon's first project was the K-drama special Our Chocolate Moments with Choi Won Young, Gong Sung Ha, and Song Ji Ho.
So Ju Yeon is known for being part of the K-dramas Seasons of Blossom, Dr. Romantic Season 3, A Love So Beautiful, Lovestruck in the City, Dr. Romantic Season 2, and more.
