Lee Joo Bin on Spring Fever.

Spring Fever follows Yun Bom (Lee Joo Bin), a teacher who moves from Seoul to the rural area of Sinsu, carrying scars that run deep, and Seon Jae Gyu (Ahn Bo Hyun), a popular guy in the village with a quirky charm and big heart.

Actress Lee Joo Bin made her debut in the 2017 SBS drama Whisper has starred in numerous projects, including Mr. SunshineBe MelodramaticDoctor LawyerQueen of Tearsand Twelve, among others.

Taking a heavy role in Spring Fever, she once again proved her worth as a lead actress by showcasing a nuanced performance.

Lee Joo Bin shared, "It's been a while since I debuted, but the weight and responsibility of being the lead is a different [thing]. I was confused on my own. I kept thinking, 'Am I even capable of doing this?' and 'Will I be able to pull it off?' People say there are no big or small roles, but once you actually do it, the mindset you need as a lead feels much heavier. That was a burden, and at the same time, I was very ambitious. I got this project at a time when I was wrestling with concerns, and I ended up receiving love. It was a project that gave me confidence."

"I realized that self-reproach is arrogance too," adding, "This project isn't just mine. So many people's skills and careers are invested in it. To pin it all on myself also felt like an arrogant way of thinking. In that sense, I tried to let go. I tried not to think about the external factors [things out of my control] and instead focus on the character and [the work I had to do] on the set."

Previously, Lee Joo Bin drew attention after sharing a story about the time she appeared in court due to the unauthorized use of her ID photo. About that, she said.

"The court contacted my agency. They said a fraud report had been filed because someone used my ID photo to make an ID card and submit it. That photo wasn't used just once or twice. Even now, I hear that the photo shows up in some countries. At first, it was scary to know that my photo was being used for scams. I was already well-known even before I debuted as an actress, so back then, I was misunderstood a lot. It got uploaded to other sites too. It was upsetting because it was used for things like used-car and fake listings. But it's a photo from ten years ago, so I'm okay now."

When asked about her Lunar New Year plans, Lee Joo Bin said, "I don't really have family I see often in Korea, so I spend it alone."

When the topic of family came up, she also addressed rumors that her family lives in Guam. "My family is in the U.S., in the L.A. area. My mom is in L.A. for work, and my sister and dad are in a more provincial area. There's talk that my family is in Guam, but that's not true. They're in L.A."

She added, "I went (to the U.S.) in advance before Seollal. I think I'll probably meet friends in Seoul during the [holidays]."
