Ahn Hyo Seop and Chae Won Bin get off on the wrong foot in 'Sold Out on You' teaser
On April 18, Wang An Yu's fan club publicly called out the production team of I Live in Your Time, reporting that while leaving the set after filming, Wang An Yu was targeted with a laser pointer aimed at him, posing a threat to his personal safety.
After the issue escalated, the production team of the C-drama (@想把你和时间藏起来官微) released a statement, saying they take this incident very seriously. They also stated that multiple staff members, together with relevant authorities, were deployed to provide protection and ensure the actors could leave safely.
They added that it will comprehensively upgrade its security measures, stating, "If similar dangerous behavior is found again, it will be immediately stopped and reported to the police, with the right reserved to pursue legal responsibility."
Wang has previously been troubled by sasaeng fans.
Last year, "Wang An Yu chased by sasaeng fans" trended on hot searches. Witnesses said that some sasaengs appeared alongside the vehicle he was in, closely tailing the moving car; some even chased it on foot and banged on the windows — dangerous behavior that netizens described as "a suffocating scene like a zombie siege."
