Ahn Hyo Seop and Chae Won Bin get off on the wrong foot in 'Sold Out on You' teaser

SBS's upcoming drama Sold Out on You has unveiled a new teaser, giving a glimpse of episode 1.

Sold Out on You follows perfectionist farmer Matthew Lee, aka Quail (Ahn Hyo Seop), and home shopping show host Dam Ye Jin (Chae Won Bin), who suffers from insomnia. 

The newly released teaser shows the two characters having a rocky first encounter. While driving along a narrow road, Dam Ye Jin is surprised when Matthew Lee suddenly appears heading toward her from the opposite direction.

Unable to make out his face, she assumes he's an older man and politely addresses him as such, asking him to reverse and let her pass. However, Matthew Lee remains silent, and with neither willing to give way, the situation escalates into an intense exchange of honking.

Frustrated, Dam Ye Jin stands up in her convertible to confront him. When Matthew Lee removes his hat, she is briefly taken aback by his youthful appearance. She quickly regains her composure and demands that he clear the road. In response, Matthew Lee remarks that she must be unfamiliar with the area, explaining that the road is meant for one-way exit traffic.

Refusing to back down, Dam Ye Jin argues that she has already driven farther along the road and that it would be quicker for him to reverse. Matthew Lee, however, insists he can't move back due to the risk of slipping into a ditch, but his reasoning fails to convince her.

Ahn Hyo Seop said of Chae Won Bin, "She had a much lovelier and brighter side than what I had seen in her previous works. That made me think she suited the character of Dam Ye Jin very well. Through her, Matthew Lee was also able to gain a lot of energy, and I was truly grateful to have her as a co-star. While acting, there are moments where we compromise and work through things together, and in those aspects, our synergy was excellent."

Chae Won Bin commented, "Matthew Lee is smart and steadfast, but because of that, he has a cute, quirky side in his daily life, so I'd describe him as 'a bit clumsy' (heodang). As for Dam Ye Jin, she's someone who stays confident no matter the situation and always strives to remain confident, so I'd like to describe her as 'confident'. Both characters are full of charm."

Sold Out on You will premiere on April 22. The K-drama will be streaming on Netflix.   Watch the teaser here.
