Watch: Park Min Young and team set out to rob the bad guys in 'Confidence Queen'

Confidence Queen releases new teasers. 

Confidence Queen follows three con artists — Yoon Yi Rang (Park Min Young), James (Park Hee Soon), Myung Gu Ho (Joo Jong Hyuk) — with different backgrounds who team up to seek revenge against villains of this era.

In the K-drama, Park Hee Soon takes on the role of James, the eldest in the con artist team. He has a cool attitude that lets him mediate between his teammates, a humor that instantly captivates, and a heavy presence.

The actor explained his reason for choosing Confidence Queen, saying, “Since I’ve recently taken on many heavy and serious roles, I wanted to do something light and fun like a comedy, and I also had a strong thirst for change.” 

He added, “I was drawn to the multidimensional charm of James.” “James possesses both the ability to resolve situations and quick wit. The huge factor was that, through James, I could not only do comedy but also transform into various characters. That’s why I had a strong desire to portray James within the unique cheerful tension and fast-paced development of Confidence Queen.”

Park Hee Soon also said, “With each new episode's script that came out, I had to set up everything — from character analysis and acting setup to costumes and makeup — myself, which was very challenging. For the external aspects, I worked with the costume and makeup teams, gathering a lot of reference materials and holding numerous meetings to shape each character. After that, I studied things like speech patterns, gestures, and the way of walking, all of which allowed me to complete the character.”

Park Hee Soon left a message for viewers, saying, “Confidence Queen is a drama like a thrilling game with unique, charming characters. With twists hidden in every moment and a story that mixes laughter and tension, I hope everyone will enjoy it together.”

The production team praised, “Thanks to Park Hee Soon holding the center both in the drama and on set, the fantastic chemistry among the cast members shone even more,” and added, “Please look forward to Confidence Queen, where Park Hee Soon will deliver an outstanding performance.”

Prime Video unveiled the official trailer. It begings with Yoon Yi Rang (Park Min Young) saying, "What I see in front of me could be real, but it could also be fake," as the scenes show piles of cash, the very thing that the bad guys obssess over. "We can just throw dirty laundry in the washer, but what should we do with irredeemable people? We should return the favor," Yoon says as scenes of violence unfold. 

Viewers also get a glimpse of Jung Woong In, Oh Na Ra, Kim Sun Young, and Lee Yi Kyung, who will be making get appearances. 

Anticipation build for the trio's teamwork as they come to rob the bad.
