Koo Kyo Hwan, Han Ji Min, Han Sun Hwa, and more cast in new comedy film

CJ ENM has confirmed the remake of What's Wrong with Secretary Kim, expanding its global content business.
What's Wrong with Secretary Kim will be adapted for the Hong Kong market. Through overseas remakes of existing drama IP (intellectual property) and international co-productions, the company is diversifying the ways Korean content enters overseas markets.
What's Wrong with Secretary Kim, starring Park Seo Jun and Park Min Young, which aired on tvN in 2018, is also getting a Hong Kong adaptation. The drama follows a narcissistic vice chairman and his highly efficient secretary, who has supported him for years. Local adaptations of the series have previously been produced in China, the Philippines, and Thailand.
The Hong Kong adaptation, titled What's Wrong with Secretary Kim (金秘書為何那樣), will star Anson Lo of the local group MIRROR and Ivy So of COLLAR. It will be an office rom-com that reflects Hong Kong culture and sensibilities. The series is scheduled to premiere on ViuTV on January 28, 2027.
In addition to producing local adaptations of its existing hit titles, CJ ENM is also pursuing co-production projects, collaborating with overseas production teams from the planning stage. The Japanese adaptation of Marry My Husband, presented by CJ ENM and Studio Dragon in collaboration with Japanese production teams, reportedly recorded the highest number of viewers among Amazon original dramas in Japan within its first 30 days of release.
Merry Berry Love, starring Ji Chang Wook and Mio Imada, is another recently released Korean-Japanese co-production. Jointly produced by CJ ENM and Japan's Nippon TV, the drama follows Korean spatial planner Lee Yoo Bin (Ji Chang Wook) and Japanese female farmer Shirahama Karin (Imada Mio).
Just two days after its release, Merry Berry Love ranked second on the worldwide Disney+ TV show chart (FlixPatrol).
