Thanks Underthestars. Because sometimes YQYY and Tang LiCi are used interchangably, I'm not sure whether they are separate entity? In the original timeline, did the Dragon Lady give birth to YQYY or Tang LiCi? If they are both holy sons, is Yemo/YQYY Tang LiCi's elder brother?

They are completely unrelated. In the Celestial realm timeline that Tang Lici time travelled back to, Tang Lici thought he was going to kill YQYY, but found out it was actually himself in the Dragon Lady's womb. It was Gui Mudan's plan to get rid of Tang Lici if possible. We only see Luo Yunxi's face as YQYY in first Inversion of Reality to keep YQYY'S face a secret, and to make it clear that Tang Lici teleported into YQYY'S body.

Oh thank you. It's good that YQYY/Yemo is separate soul/different from Tang LiCi.

Another thing is they used the same young actor for the young version of Ye Mo and Tang LiCi, right? When young Ye Mo was betrayed & burnt on the wooden cross, that was acted by Richard Li. When Tang LiCi remembered his childhood training & spanked by his mentor, his young self was also acted by Richard Li, correct? It's quite confusing for us the audience.

No Richard Li only acted as Ye Mo.

That point about FuZhouMei is so interesting and absolutely spot on! I kept wondering why they never even hinted what actually happened to him, but you're absolutely right.

I'm still slightly disgruntled with the ending though, I mean not that I know if there's any alternative ways to end this, but I really dislike it when they decide to just restart everything and pretend nothing ever happened. Does that ever really prevent the same future from happening? I know he turned back time to before TianRen even existed, but that doesn't prevent the same things from repeating themselves again does it?

yeah in reality it doesn't, because people's greed can't be satiated. If Puzhu is still the irresponsible weakling in this alternative universe, his kingdom will still fall.

Tang Lici doing this is giving the world another chance, banking on the fact that "When people are born, they are inherently kind", the first sentence from Daode Jing that he was taught at Zhoudi Tower.

Ohhh I guess it is a nice way to think of it. But honestly, it just makes no sense to me, even if he restarts everything, if nothing was new, there would logically be no change in the future. That is unless, the random little fox and dragon thing had something to do with TLC, which did in fact change the course of the future. But I honestly did not fully understand the ending.
