Regarding the prompt, Main character playing hide and seek, does that mean they are playing the hide and seek game or just hiding from someone? Like perhaps they are hiding from their ex or from being spotted by someone or another Main character. Do these instances count?

And once again, how many prompts can we substitute? 5 or 25 prompts?

Would "traffic warden" count for the "traffic director" prompt (6.5)? I know those two are different jobs but both manage traffic so I was wondering

Hi -- i have a quick question. if someone is performing/singing in an open mic kind of performance, in a bar or restaurant, would that also be counted as Street/Public Music Performance ?

does the student studying abroad have to happen on screen or is it enough if its mentioned that character x was studying abroad before the story in the drama starts? for example: in episode 1 of business as usual, its mentioned that one of the leads was studying abroad.

If it's like last year, seeing the prompt in the subs (it is mentioned) it also counts.

17:2 Historical Monument - Can statues be considered or is it only applicable to buildings?

Asking since I saw this statue (link) in a modern drama. Can I use it for this prompt?

Edited to add : Or this building - link1, link2, link3

Or this wall -  link1, link 2, link 3

Statues, memorials, archeological sites, and buildings can all be historical monuments. These can be important to history themselves, or erected to honor history.

When in doubt, you're welcome to find and use a relevant definition to explain your choice.

Regarding the signage prompt… Does a calendar counting down the days to the entrance exam count as signage? Or only when it is indicating a place?

If it is an actual sign hung up somewhere and not just your typical home calendar, then yes, it counts as signage.

 bitcoolKat:

14:2 - Long Distance Relationship - Is this tag applicable to only to lead characters or do support characters count as well? Asking since in a drama I'm watching, one of the supporting characters mentions being a long distance relationship, but I checked and the drama doesn't have this tag.

This is a tag prompt, and as the tag does not specify that it needs to be a main character, it should count... as long as it is prominent to the story. Major support characters would count. Minor/Guest characters likely would not.

We encourage you to submit an edit for tag on the MDL Page (just go to "edit page" --> "genres" --> add the tag --> explain why the tag is relevant in the "notes" text box). But you can definitely just mention what characters have the long distance relationship in the notes column of the challenge form.

Hi, regarding the “field” prompt, which situation applies?
1. A plantation
2. A field for some type of sport (like soccer)
3. An open grassy area (like a natural park)

These are all fields. So they would count.

 bitcoolKat:

Slums - Can a refugee camp with people in tattered clothes, tents constructed out of wood and scraps of cloth and people fighting over food be considered as slums?

Slums are "a squalid and overcrowded urban street or district inhabited by very poor people.
"inner-city slums"

If it's a refugee camp in a traditional sense, no it would not count. But if it's an overcrowded urban location in which a lot of refugees have taken up residence, then yes, it would count.

For the shopping prompt in the Entertainment section, does grocery shopping count as well?

Yes.

 bitcoolKat:

Athletic Arena - Can a race track (from ep 1 of Love Scout) be considered an athletic arena? Or a school soccer field? (also from Love Scout)

A formal race track can be counted as an athletic arena (a related question: race car racing can also be counted as an athletic competition)

The school soccer field depends on if it has some of the traits of an arena - such as built-in seats for spectators. Otherwise, it's just a practice field that they hosted a game on.

 dustyhymn:

does this count as an anthology https://kisskh.at/697577-unframed?

An anthology is a series. That, as it's a movie, is an omnibus.

 bitcoolKat:

9:3 - Politician/Victim handing out flyers
Does it have to be only a politician or a victim? In the college drama I'm watching, a student can be seen handing out flyers for a university club/event. Does this count?

That particular prompt specified the type of people instead of just saying "character handing out flyers", so yes it will have to be a politician or a victim

Hi -- i have a quick question. if someone is performing/singing in an open mic kind of performance, in a bar or restaurant, would that also be counted as Street/Public Music Performance ?

If it takes place inside of a restaurant, that is not a street/public music performance. It is a performance for restaurant patrons and other event goers.

Instead, think buskers. Pop up performances. Flash mobs. Mimes. Etc.
