 My SO Has Got Depression | It was so refreshing to see a genuine portrayal of mental illness, showing the downs in a simple, raw manner but also the healing process, support, and ultimately happy ending so often lacking. The subject matter is pretty heavy and the movie addresses it well. It's genuine, respectful, and understanding of even the more taboo and less talked about symptoms of depression so genuinely kudos for that.  Flaming Cloud | A heartfelt and melancholic fairytale. The aesthetics and overall feel of the movie was incredible. It reminded me a lot of those classic fairytales from ye olden days but with a modern twist. Nearing the end, though, it kinda switches gears and becomes a bit messy with a rather underwhelming conclusion but overall, I would still recommend and I'm glad I finally got around to watching it. | ✓24/03(7.0) Do I Recc? ✔️ |

 Nothing but You | This was honestly way too long for the story it had to tell. There's a lot to dislike about this drama but it ultimately boils down to the stakes being low. Things get resolved very easily or we don't see the struggle. There are also far too many supporting characters that do very little. The main romance was okay, the chemistry was good.  Mad Doctor | Funny, intense, and realistic. Medical dramas aren't my scene at all so I'm not really sure why I even started this one but it was a fun and quirky watch. Quite unlike other dramas with a toxic and traumatized FL, graphic surgery scenes, and realistic stories. The flip from humour to said stories can be a bit much. | ✓Start: 04/11/24 |

 Remember | Nothing extraordinary but a well-crafted action/thriller with an unlikely duo and a surprising amount of emotional depth. The action aspect was fairly lowkey as is expected with an elderly ML and the other who cannot fight but still, it was exciting. The OST was also very nice and the characterization was endearing and rewarding.  Summer Strike | Two years later and it didn't get quite as bad as I thought it would but far from great either. My main reason for dropping it where the themes and yeah, those remain but less bad than I thought. Overall, I liked the ML and was curious about his story. The lead couple were cute with their similars attract vibes. All supporting characters ranged from insufferable to plain annoying.  Deep Love Love Again | This wasn't a great revenge story. The plot is messy and confusing, jumping around like crazy. The violence (especially towards women) is extreme so be warned. The positives are that it's shot beautifully, the actors killed it, and it had a good OST. I would've probably hated it way more if I didn't ff through it.  Secret of Three Kingdoms | Definitely struggled a bit with this one upon a rewatch. Enjoyed a lot of it like the first time but the drag dragged, my family's commentary swayed enjoyment and the ending especially was hard to get through.  Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In | Solid story, compelling characters, and phenomenal action scenes. It's a thrilling watch about various gangsters with a complicated past. The story isn't too complex but it works well with the action-packed narrative which made for a very engaging experience. Despite the all-male cast, the characters are recognizable which is quite rare for the genre.  Nagatan to Aoto: Ichika no Ryourijou | A simple slice-of-life drama with an endearing unconventional romance and a feminist message. It was a very down-to-earth experience about two unlikely people finding themselves in an arranged marriage. I wish it would've been longer so we got to see more of the leads' together and also their personal lives. The romance left a bit to be desired too.  Bloody Heart | Compelling political thriller that remains interesting throughout! The story is not without flaws but it's still highly enjoyable, full of plot-twists and melodrama. Characters and dynamics are compelling and thorough. Also, the cinematography and OST are both incredible, making it an even more pleasant experience!
