2) The Mirage

3 The Legend of Shen Li (Before watching this series, I was so tired of Xianxias, because it was the same tropes over and over (like the classic amnesia shenanigans and stuff..)

4 Recently: Agent Kim Reactivated (I had so much fun watching it, even though at first I’d actually just meant to leave it on as a sort of background noise lol (First kdrama since forever)

I didn't watch this while on a drama slump, but I binge-watched it for 5 days without checking other drama because it was so good

6. War of Faith

And I did rewatch when on drama slump sometimes. For example

7. The Butterfly Lovers (1994)

8. My Left Eye Sees Ghosts

Since it's been 2 days

10 titles where someone tells their sick love interest that if the love interest dare to die, this someone will look for another man/woman immediately and forget them immediately. Something like I'll spend your money after your death to search for many sugar babies or I'll remarry right away and have many babies and I'll be buried together with my new husband or I won't ever visit your grave and won't burn any paper money for you. Something like that.

Lol. I know I've seen it, but can't think of a specific title.

Me three. Too many titles in my brain.

Let see gemini correct or not. Lol...

1) Till the End of the Moon

Ye Xiwu (Li Susu) deals with the naturally suspicious and possessive Tantai Jin. Whenever he is gravely injured, sick, or close to death, she knows comforting words won't reach him. Instead, she threatens that if he dies, she will immediately move on, marry another man, and forget him entirely. Knowing his deep jealousy, this threat forces him to cling to life.

2) Lost You Forever (2023)

When Tu Shan Jing is severely poisoned and hovering between life and death with almost no pulse, Xiao Yao stays by his bedside. Knowing his devotion to her, she repeatedly tells his unconscious body that if he dares to die and leave her behind, she won't mourn him forever—she will go out, find a new lover, and give her heart to someone else. The fear of losing her gives him the strength to hold on.

I'm absolutely sure I've seen dramas like that but can't catch them from my memory 🥲

I think but not sure that similar scene was in The Atypical Family, ML could either die or they just were about to break up/did break up. They talked about FL living with her new husband with ML's money...

And as there are no many options, let me mention the drama with the opposite dynamics

Fall in Love (Republican era) - FL wanted to get married to ML before he goes to war (as he could die), ML wanted to avoid the marriage to not leave her a possible widow. He tried to get drunk on the wedding night to not consummate the marriage so she could easily remarry after his possible death, but she insisted on the proper marriage night.

Anyway, 1 day, so new topic:

10 dramas with a main character growing up in very loving and caring family

Any families count, adoptive too

But all family members should be treated equally

1) The Best Thing - FL's parents were ones of the best I've seen in dramaland. Super healthy, supportive, loving relationship. Always had her back

Bonus: When Life Gives You Tangerines - Geummyeong and her parents. I list it as a bonus as leads were the best parents to her but neglected the second child.

2. To the Moon and Back

Matalada has the best father in the world, he's a queer and asexual who open a cabaret club, all his friends and worker love Mata as much as the father and so she grew up a happy, kind and confident woman with unique personality and life view.

3. Destined

Bai Jing Ting's character has an admirable merchant parents, the richest (this one thing has already made them the best parents ever ahaha) in their country/dynasty, but they think much ahead for their only son. They make him study for national exam so that he could be an official as a preventive measure as their huge asset attracted trouble from royal family, going to the great length asking their daughter in-law to teach and straighten this prodigal son. Before this, they let him do whatever he wanted but he still growing into a soft-hearted boy who's a bit tsundere.

4. Northward

Ou Hao's character's parents were great person. His father will save people randomly and giving free advice to bad people so he has many friends and very popular. His bad thing was he's quite prideful. One time, Ou Hao's character getting caught by a police officer for thievery but he treated him to a meal and send him away, saying that he let him go because Hu Jun's character (the father) once helped him and that he didn't want his savior's son to ever do something like that again. It's a good thing. I remember one time someone said that he tried to help and friended as many people as he could so that when someday his child needed help somewhere he ddidn't know one of the people he helped or friended will help his child. And Ou Hao's character's mother was accomodated the father all the time no matter how bad it cost their financial, she let her son accomodated the father too. And she even work as a truck driver so that they could survive. That's how he became a kind and capable man who love the world and its people, and never forget any kindness he received. He's also filial and accomodating, bringing comfort to the people around him but also can separate personal and business matter very clearly. He saw the importance of many things very clearly.

5) Love Destiny (2018) - FL grew up in a loving and caring family with her mom and grandmother. Her father was never mentioned.

6) Extraordinary Attorney Woo - FL grew up with her loving and caring single father.

7) Healer - FL was raised by her loving and caring adoptive father and his employees (he's a lawyer and a cafe owner, and his employees also treat her like their daughter)

Bonus: Every Day a Good Day (a Japanese movie) - The main character has loving and supportive parents who also have a loving and healthy marriage, a supportive sibling and a counsin as her best friend.

8) hidden love - FL lived with her loving family

mongwoo:

9 Go ahead

Dad of FL is caring and loving fella

But as far as I know their found family was quite dysfunctional and her dad was the saint like next to other family members...

@mongwoo Then it doesn't fit unfortunately, you can list it as a bonus just as I did with When Life Gives You Tangerines 👌

I also love watching loving families on screen, so refreshing compare to all toxic or neglecting parents... I came up with the topic watching The Best Thing, FL's family was so comforting to watch 💛 I hope to build a family like this in the future
