As for Secrets of the Shadow Sect, I need to give it another try. I watched it when I was in a blah mood, and the first couple of episodes didn't hit. But I believe y'all, so give me some time.
He is actually poisoned and if he exerts himself too much, it'll act up. The FL is ruthlessly clever, and he is down bad for her basically from the beginning. He is definitely very green-tea and falls in love with her calculating nature and ruthlessness!
I first saw He Yu in My Fated Boy, and always thought he was an interesting balance of cute x masculine. I couldn't get into his other dramas because of the relationship dynamics, but now that I'm learning more about Blossoms of Power, I'm quite intrigued....
