I think it's because so far, I enjoy the ML,
He's the reason I'm sticking around. The character's goofy, and interesting even though it's pretty obvious he's not the one who killed his secretary. The actress who's playing the FL is fine. I just watched a lot of gender bender anime/dramas back in the day, so I've seen this exact type of character multiple times.

HE'S THE PERFECT ML! SO EARNEST AND VIRTUOUS! AND FL IS WHAT? THE LAW!!!!! LOVED THE FIREFLY SCENE IN EP ONE. SO CHARMING, AND I COULD FEEL THEIR CHEMISTRY. AND THE SCENE WHERE HE THOUGHT SHE WAS GONNA HURT HIS BROTHER!
I'M GONNA LOSE IT IF THE DYNAMIC CHANGES HALFWAY THROUGH!!!!!

Same 😅 to be bluntly honest, my hopes weren't super high for her character. They usually do the same kind of thing for these types of FL, as you said. Mainly I really like seeing women characters who are styled in masc ways lol! (I watched a big chunk of Blossoms of Power for the same reason💀)
