Ooo, curious to know more about them! Feel free to share your thoughts/notes with us
1. Definitely added to my PTW- Thx!! Sounds v rr from the synopsis and I've been trying to get more into historical kdramas too so I added it to my watch challenge ptw <3
3. Already on my PTW!
1. River Where the Moon Rises
Romantic fiction based on Ancient Korean Goryeo period (which was egalitarian than the long and restrictive Joseon period which followed).
2. Queen Seon Deok
I just loved this! Rewatched the entire drama or part of it so many times. Again its set on a more egalitarian period in ancient Korea and a princess and a queen fight each other for the control of the monarchy. The princess has a lover, and that guy is such a character! Btw, he is also the secret son of the rival queen, whom she had to abandon at his birth. It's a serious kind of drama though, but I just loved the entirety of it.
3. Sweet Combat
Cute, teen romance. Both FL and ML are lovely.
4. Ancient Love Poetry
Fictional drama based on Antient Chinese Immortal World. FL is a Goddess. ML is also a God I think. Watched it a while back, don't remember the story, but loved their chemistry.
5. Sunshine by My Side
Drama based on Modern day China. ML is a sunshine :) FL is mature, responsible, and married till a number of episodes. ML had a crush on FL since his teenage. Practical kind of drama. I also really loved ML's parents very much, no wonder the ML was such a nice young man, it started from his upbringing.
6. My Happy Ending
Drama based on Modern day South Korea. There are two MLs, the FML and FL were married with a cute girl child. FL is a CEO. They had such good chemistry. FML was a professor and also a househusband. FL had a toxic but powerful friend, who suffered so much in her life that I would really support her if she went for revenge but she instead went down the toxic woman trope and starts ruining the FL's life. The FL and the FML's relationship became strained to the point that the ML cheats on her (at least it looks like it) and asks for a divorce and the custody of their child. FL was strained to the point that she forgets everything (she actually suffers for a memory loss problem) and the next day, she starts her day as a loving wife, a good friend (of her villain girl friend). ML was going to restart their relationship from scratch again as well trying to push away the evil he invited into their lives, but is murdered in the process. SML is a director at the FL's company and they had a past interaction and he seemed to have a crush on her all along. From after her husband's murder, the FL starts looking for answers, and the SML is always besides her. At the end, when every score is settled, SML asks FL out, and she doesn't say no.
Apart from the good chemistry between the FL and the MLs, the relationship dynamics here are pretty RR.
7. An Oriental Odyssey
Watched it a long way back. Now just remember that ML was a slave at FL's household for the first few episodes, he was ultimately drove away or he went away and FL went on searching him and found out he was a prince or a powerful king sorta person, honestly I fast-paced through the later episodes.
8. The Screen Foxes
FL is a poor painter I think and she accidentally became the master of some ancient foxes who becomes her allies, one of the foxes was aloof at first, but later becomes her lover.
9. Wu Lin Heroes
Fictional drama based on Antient Chinese Martial World. FL is a heroine in the martial world, and is killed by the people from that world, she was revived later (I think quite a few times). ML sees her value and takes care of her many times. I actually don't remember much details about the drama, but I loved the lead's chemistry. ML is pretty, and although he was aloof and bossy for a good length, his taking care of the FL and loving the FL secretly made the premise interesting for me. The lead's chemistry has been kind of RR at places and I loved it.
10. No Love, No Gain
Modern day Korean drama. Leads have a contract marriage. Older FL as well. ML is nice and lovable.
11. Untouchable Lovers
Chinese Historical Fiction. ML is a conniving prince and he infiltrated the FL's harem of men to get more information about their neighboring kingdom of which FL's character is a princess. But FL actually is not the princess, she is from an anti-establishment organization who was carefully placed as the princess after the assassination of the actual princess who was cruel, oblivious, and loved her harem of men. The current FL is very cautious, and drives all the men away. But ML won't go, he says that he is the princess's most trusted aide, can the princess bear part from him? FL keeps him by her side so that her identity is not revealed but remains cautious. Ultimately these two kind of falls in love. But everything changes after the 17th or 18th ep after which the drama becomes a typical harem drama (ML returns to his kingdom as prince, FL is sent their in a marriage alliance as well and ML there even takes a concubine). It's only in the end again that the leads return to the FL's place, away from the politics, to live a peaceful life.
