I was playing around with the idea of a holiday theme for December, and my mind wandered back to Love Scout with Penguin Daddy! My goal isn't to single out anyone on their  GIF-making skills; I just wanted to sprinkle a little creativity into the club. With all the dramas we'll binge this year, I’m sure we’ll stumble upon more characters that could inspire some hilarious prompts. Since December is still a bit away, we have plenty of time to brainstorm some funny ideas for the end of the year including our bingo cards. With so many members bringing their A-game in humor and creativity, this is bound to be a blast in the long run!

I wanted to provide an update on the cozy little corner side quest that I am currently developing. I am still in the process of drafting everything out, and I appreciate your patience as this is taking a bit longer than anticipated. One of the challenges I’m facing is articulating what "buddy watches" would entail. I tend to overanalyze things, which might be contributing to the delay. Nevertheless, I am actively working on the layout and structure of how I envision everything coming together.

 I am contemplating whether I should create the forum now and make adjustments as I progress. I’m uncertain about the protocol on MDL regarding posting an "under construction" notice in the forum. Would it be acceptable to reserve the first post for future edits? I hope I’m conveying my thoughts clearly. Additionally, I’m still deciding on the visual elements and overall aesthetic for the side quest. While I have settled on a color scheme, I am unsure about the design of borders and dividers, as well as whether to incorporate GIFs or just aesthetic images to enhance the atmosphere.

Episode 2

Mix of my own thoughts and responses to you. 

Once again, three GIFs that I can't hide. Not really spoilery again, but putting the warning just in case.

• NAH THAT XU GIRL IS VIIIIIIIIILE- theft, public humiliation, AND abuse? Okay but the step on the hand was diabolical. Can't wait for the FL to wipe the floor with her.
• I loved the flashback of ML, it was good to learn more about his family situation as well.  And he looked so hot in the uniform 😏 hoping that he will wear it more in next episodes. 
  • couldn't get a good angle of it to make a gif, the butler Fu always getting in the way T.T
• That white dress with the pearls is ELITE- SHE LOOKS LIKE A QUEEN so true!! I love republican era dresses and FL rocks them so well. 
• Can't wait to see if her father finds the illegitimate son and what it will mean for FL's rise to power. 
• haha, yeah he just walked in xD maybe they all had lunch break? 😂
• Is it just me or does ML look... confused a lot? xD I feel like it might be because he's a weaker actor compared to FL T_T I feel like it suited that scene, after all he's uncustomized and venturing into FL's territory so it makes sense that he's a bit lost-looking. but I can't really tell if someone's acting is bad on objective level lol
• "...I'll be the only one who gets to admire these photos" I thought she would say something like that if he acts good, then she will keep them in her safe and not publish them and she drops this bomb 😳
• how did this get by censorship? HOW?! Same question. As far as I'm aware this is not a microdrama so who approved this?? Thank you so much, random person on the PRC censorship comittee. 🙏😄
• Can't wait for her to gently caress them while they're lying together in bed <3  Adding this to my list of scenes that I'm highkey looking forward to.
• GIRL- YOU DIDN'T EVEN MOVE, IT'S THE SAME PHOTO A BILLION TIMES- AT LEAST GET DIFFERENT ANGLES, IM SOBBING at least she told him to turn around twice, otherwise yes xD

• Her room/study looks so pretty!
• • FL really seems to like butterflies, based on the decor
• Yupppp, scummy fiance just wants to tie her down- she's too much of a baddie, bro. Good luck xD Yesss. Anyway I love that the fiancé has glasses, I'm so tired of seeing glasses in dramaland only on nerdy characters or as the "before" part in the makeover trope. 
• The ending scene omgggggggg. Once again the FL looks like a goddess in the red dress. all her outfits slay so hard.

It's completely understandable. I know just how time-consuming these sort of things can be so don't worry about rushing.

I believe everyone does this to some extent or another. I had most of this club's info drafted and edited before making the post but I still edited a lot, added things, and moved things after I created it (as you can see by my frequent index update reports xD). I don't think there should be any problem with posting the thread mostly done and finishing it when you have the time. I've even seen clubs made where they only had a half baked initial post and then a couple of reserved slots for future editing so a semi-WIP post would definitely be fine to make. 👍 (I'd say to reserve at least 4 of the initial comments)

As for the the aesthetics, I'd say go with whichever you prefer. Maybe a mix of both GIFs and images would be a good middle-ground. Ultimately, it will be great no matter the details so try not to overthink it too much (I know easier said than done, haha). But yeah, even if you end up not liking something, you can always change it later. 💗

I also struggle with wanting things to be perfect the first time around but I'm trying to be more okay with that not always being the case.

• "...I feel like it suited that scene" - You're not wrong xD But I mean also in general, he just seems very lost. Which isn't a bad thing per se (Cue FL going: "Are u lost bbg?")
• "...and she drops this bomb" - and I OOP- She does NOT mess around. After all, in the wise words of the Cdrama poets.... "beauties must be admired" 
• "Thank you so much, random person on the PRC censorship comittee." - THE REAL MVP
• "Her room/study looks so pretty!" - it FRIGGING does!!! 
• "I love that the fiancé has glasses" - Right? There just aren't enough characters out there with glasses. However I have seen a handful of baddies with 'em in dramaland, I'll just need to try and remember which ones (I forgor)
• "The ending scene omgggggggg" - She's killing it with her outfits!!! And augh, the POWER in this scene

I had another fall this evening—my fourth one in five months sadly. I'm in quite a bit of pain right now. I don't think anything's broken, but my leg still hasn't healed from the last time, and now it's bruised in the same spot again. I feel a bit defeated, to be honest.
