• Any ounce of sympathy I might have had for Xu Yawei vanished the instant she flung money at Fu Cheng's feet. It was not just selfish; it was shockingly insensitive and downright humiliating. Her sense of entitlement is absolutely outrageous! We caught a glimpse of her arrogance in the first episode, but I naively thought it was just the drugs messing with her head. Clearly, I was dead wrong. Her outright disrespect for Fu Cheng is nothing short of appalling. I mean, his sister is literally fighting for her life in the hospital! The bare minimum she could do is show a shred of compassion for someone in such a critical situation, especially since he’s been bending over backward to protect her. Even if she didn’t ask for a bodyguard and he’s just a hired hand for her father, he’s still risking his own life to keep her safe.
• Poor Fu Cheng... It’s hard to fathom a more demoralizing situation than being forced to kneel at someone’s feet when you’re already at your lowest, only to have them gaze down at you with disdain. The sheer weight of such a moment is almost unbearable, leaving one to wonder how anyone could inflict such cruelty on another. The look of rage on Ying Xian's face, watching this go down, you could just tell she's plotting all sorts of things for Xu Yawei.
• No freaking way! I honestly thought the cash tossed at his feet was part of the advance on his paycheck he asked for, but no! It's his hard-earned salary! This is absolutely outrageous! She’s been siphoning off his wages for herself! Just when I think she can't sink any lower, she proves me wrong! Are you kidding me? He’s been slaving away for her, following her around, dealing with her temper tantrums and addiction, and she’s been pocketing his money like it’s her personal piggy bank! This is beyond infuriating!
• "A lowly, insignificant man" she says .. I can hardly contain my excitement as I envision our fierce heroine crushing her like the insignificant insect she is, just as her shoe firmly presses down on his foot. The satisfaction of witnessing this moment will be a joyous occasion!  Karma my dear, karma is coming your way.
• Dismissed by our leading ladies secretary, bravo!
• It must be excruciating for him to seek help from the family responsible for his sister's hospitalization. After experiencing such humiliation, he likely feels diminished by both women and trapped in a difficult position. If I were in his shoes, that financial support would feel tainted, like blood money.
• There must be a flicker of intrigue within Ying Xian that finds his rejection of her offer strangely attractive. Unlike the cash-hungry crowd that surrounds her now, he remains unmoved by money. Those party enthusiasts are merely opportunists, while he stands firm, cornered yet resolute in his values. His pride, whether it stems from stubbornness or not, allows him to resist in his unique manner. She can't help but admire that tenacity.
• Another strong-willed, brainy female lead who’s destined to be a janitor for all the clueless men around her. I mean, can we get a round of applause for these ladies who do all the heavy lifting while the guys create the chaos? It’s a real shame they rarely get the credit they deserve. Fingers crossed this one breaks the mold because she seems mentally tough and ready to network like a pro in future episodes. But honestly, the future game of chess — Buckle up!
• If they dare to give that company to anyone other than her, it’s going to be an all-out battle. That’s when the chessboard will come alive, with pawns and knights lining up, but the queen will checkmate!
• The contrast between the upper-class attire and his casual pants, leather jacket, and white t-shirt is striking. This combination creates a rugged exterior that stands in stark opposition to the polished and refined look of the affluent. However, beneath This tough facade, he embodies a gentler and more genuine spirit than the socially elite he is employed by. This dynamic is particularly fascinating, as it highlights the theme of deception in appearances throughout the drama. The portrayal of these characters invites viewers to reconsider their assumptions about class and character, making the narrative all the more compelling.
• "I don't want free handouts. I'll pay you back with interest" - Interest is the name of the game! While cash might not be on her wishlist, she’s got a treasure trove of fun ideas that’ll keep both of them entertained!
• Kudos to the club member who predicted she’d use those photos as leverage! Your crystal ball was super charged, because she had that camera locked and loaded! LOL
• Oh, she straight-up confessed to him that those photos would be for her pleasure—no subtlety whatsoever!  She’s been waiting for this moment LMAO!
• If you won't take my money for free and you value your dignity above all else, then I will strip it from you. What a freaking boss move!
• It’s hard not to feel a deep sense of empathy for him, even tho this interaction between the two of them is what we signed up for. Watching him endure one setback after another is truly painful, especially when he’s surrounded by people who see his plight as just a form of entertainment.
• Honestly, while I find this scenario quite appealing, I can't ignore the unease it brings me. He is not acting on his own accord; the element of coercion makes me feel a sense of shame. Especially with the daggers, he's throwing at her.
• And of course, right after I say that in the above comment, I am pointing out this guy's chest and upper arms are like a couple of boulders! Seriously, his shoulders look like they could host a lunar landing with all those craters!
• What in the world? I was so misled! They portrayed his backside as a stunning work of art, yet it looks like a gruesome scene of burned flesh and cruel whips. DX
• Geez, how many photos does she need for Lethbridge or pleasure...
• I get a real kick out of how writers cleverly use inanimate objects to shield body parts from the viewers. We have already come up with 20 scenarios in her head before we even see the whole picture. The attempt at censorship just makes me chuckle! They can't censor our imagination!
• I'm dying. He's getting turned on and can't even hide it. Oh my God. lmao
• He presents a compelling perspective, particularly because she, unlike his current superior, does not impose her will upon him. However, she is aware that he feels constrained by the limited options available to him under her terms. Is he truly making a choice, or is she merely capitalizing on the situation? On one side, he appears to appreciate having any alternatives, especially since other avenues seem closed off. This situation may be the lesser of two evils, but in the end, the decision rests with him. It will be intriguing to observe how this develops in the series. Will he harbor resentment towards her, or will he feel thankful for the opportunity she provides? I am curious to see if he will wrestle with his ethical principles and his position within the social hierarchy. His disdain for the elite class she embodies creates a significant internal conflict between his self-identity and societal norms.
• And there it is, be my bodyguard and my plaything! At least she's upfront with what she wants, there's no ulterior motive at least when it comes to these. lol
• Why did he hide? Isn't this the fake fiancé that was 100% on board with her having a play toy? I mean, I know he doesn't know that but she could've told him to stay put and not hide.
• Oh my God is that room full of nude photos of other men????
• So he's OK with her having play things but not OK with being comfortable in her power over men, that's a big contradiction.

I realize this was quite a lengthy post, but there were so many Easter eggs in this episode that I truly loved. I had plenty to share!

Episode 2 :
Oh goodness, I hate SFL humiliating ML so much. She will pay for sure.
It is a joy to watch such a strong and resilient FL, she keeps her composure even after ML rejected her help by throwing her business card to the trash. Really pleasing.
All that strip-tease and the fact that she asks him, which part of her body he likes. This is just another level. It is just so good.
Did she imply he was getting excited while being naked or something.."Even in this situation you..." Oh oh ^^.

I think he is confused because he was getting exited or something while he was naked before FL. If I am not mistaken, this is why FL said that : even in this situation you... and she looks at his stomach. ML immediately shouts"enough" or "don't speak". At least this is how I interpreted it. *blush*

Yes, I believe it is a good thing in a way, it allows for my body to rest and recharge. It also gives me extra time to enjoy watching dramas, so here's to the silver lining! Keep fighting indeed! <3
