Ooooh I have to add Gaus Electronics to the RR list. the lead couple is so ridiculously funny and I somehow find Chinese dramas do more RR than Korean ones, but when I watched Gaus Electronics I sat up and cheered! She's the senior at work and boy she tortures him!! In fact in both couples, the females are assertive and dominant. Loving it!!

Watched Happiness a few days back and it really scratched my friends-to-lovers: RR-edition itch xD bbg worrybutt ML and deathly protective and badass FL. They did end up giving more power couple cuz ML can definitely hold his own but it is, what it is Drama was overall meh tho

Finally found the subs for Fall in Love with Mr. Mermaid after waiting for a billion (2) years xD Painfully low budget but also quite thoroughly RR. Innocent merman meets cold CEO. I loved it

Been swan diving back into cringe mini cdramas in case you couldn't tell and watched Damn! I'm Tempted (this title cracks me up every time, lmao) Ngl, it kinda ate. Bratty subby ML and a very cool and mature FL. Plot was forgettable, I'm shallow and was here only for the visuals

Last but certainly not least... I rewatched Love and Leashes last night and realized it's way more RR than I remember (obvious RR bdsm stuff aside). If anyone here fsr still hasn't  watched it yet, I simply cannot recommend it enough. It's a beautiful film all around, very tasteful on properly depicting the subject matter, the romance is adorable, and the role reversal is heart-fluttering Tried to pick a not too spoilery image cuz the visuals in this movie are next level but best experienced while watching

I am right there with you! Right now Moonlight Mystique is giving —it's absolutely divine. I get chills every time that OST kicks in. It's like a giant hug for my soul! And sure, I adore my J-dramas, but let’s be real: there are only a handful that I feel a worth watching when it comes to roll rehearsal the woman are so submissive and when they're not being submissive, there, characters are so over-the-top goofy, and "manly" that I can't take them serious. C-dramas, they just have that special something that makes RR tags hit differently.

I will say that Korea doesn't really fall behind when it comes to the soundtracks

This year, I've found myself shifting away from Korean OSTs and exploring more Chinese and Thai soundtracks. I find the instruments in Chinese music particularly fascinating. While I may not be able to distinguish each instrument, their harmonious blend creates such beautiful and emotional pieces, even without lyrics. It's truly remarkable. On the other hand, Taiwanese music has a unique ability to fuse various genres, resulting in something that feels both emotional and raw, which I absolutely adore. When it comes to specific music genres by country, I tend to prefer Korean pop, Chinese classical instrumentals, Taiwanese rap, and Japanese rock.

We could also have a highlights/hall-of-fame type place where either monthly or yearly each club member can select a (or a couple) drama/movie/special to recommend. This can also be done with GIFs, characters, couples, etc... I think it could be fun and interactive! Let me know! 

I believe the update you shared with the club members addresses my inquiry about a recommended list of RR dramas. I really appreciate this idea. If we go this route we won't have to revise it every time someone suggests a new drama. Instead, we can refresh it at the end of the year with our top five picks for that year. For each of our top five dramas, we could create a prompt, add those selections to the recommendation list, and repeat the process annually with new prompts, incorporating different dramas into our existing list. This approach will not only be engaging but also allow us to discover common favorites among club members and perhaps even uncover new dramas we haven't seen yet. It turns into a creative and enjoyable year-end activity, where we can express our favorite RR tags, Actor/Actresses, favorite OST's and even include GIFs. When we update the recommendation list, we could mention which member(s) suggested each drama and the prompt they chose it for, helping us avoid duplicate recommendations. One guideline could be that for the following year, we focus on dramas that weren't recommended the previous year. I hope that makes sense.

Are you taking any recommendations? I'd really appreciate one for Moonlight Mystique! I absolutely love Fu Ling. Dai Lu Wa is stunning—she truly brings the character to life!

My brother sent me the entire OST to listen to after he watched it and like, it's Sa Ding Ding, how can it miss? I've been obsessed with her ever since The Blue Whisper. What a composer and singer!!

I agreeeeeeeeee. It's difficult to find good RR in general but I do think China lowkey in the lead. Japan definitely goes bold, but the shy submissive FLs everywhere do get old 😭 Korea has some hits, the rest honestly barely count 😭

This is so interesting! Chinese OSTs are honestly next-level and I'm obsessed. I find that the other countries present in MDL don't really hold a candle to China & Korea in terms of OST but maybe I'm watching the wrong shows (Japan defs has some hitters but not quite the same level). Glad you're enjoying these new soundtracks tho!

Not exactly too sure what you mean with the prompt, though. Could you elaborate? Do you mean something like "Best [couple/character/etc]" type or something else entirely?
