That's a bit of a shame. Intimacy is always lacking in longer length dramas... But I'm curious to check it out anyways!

I don't know if it's been written, but Don't Forget Me is also a RR series set in the republic era.

I never heard of this one!!! :O I wouldn't think it's RR based on the images and trailer but now I'm excited to check it out! Thanks for the recommendation! added to my ptw ^^

I don't know if the issue is on my side, but I can't see the GIFs and photos being shared on either my phone or computer.  

Same on my end. I know postimages sometimes glitches as does MDL with images specifically. I think it was 2 days ago that no images could be uploaded. I gave it some time but they still didn't show up so I checked the link and it seems to be broken (while other links I posted from that site aren't) so I reuploaded them! ^^ Hopefully they work now

For those who care, Tall Girl is finally available with English subtitles! You can find the links in the drama page's comment section ^^

I already watched it as my 100th movie, lol and... though the tall woman x short man rep was amazing and very cute uwu, overall, I found it disappointing. It wants to do a lot but it doesn't really do anything and thus everything feels kinda aimless and pointless.
I go off in my review but yeah, that's the gist of it. Here's a cute GIF tho (there were surprisingly not many GIF-able moments either)

Looking at it here, the height difference doesn't seem very impressive (it also changes a lot depending on the shot, lol) but it's still nice to see the guy having to look up, teehee

Also look at the gatito getting all flustered, aww
I will say tho, for those that also watched the western movie by the same name.... This one is better (but it's also been a while since I watched the other so maybe that's unfair)
Imma go back to cringe microdrama-land. I found a lot of promising titles on youtube and requested a lot to be added to MDL, so in a few weeks I'll break down the club walls and let y'all know :P If I watch them before then, best believe y'all will hear if they're worth the watch

Could not watch Damn! I'm Tempted. Quit after 5 mins. It's really awful, what with the background music playing and stopping at random times and the way this vertical drama is filmed. Though I suppose I shouldn't expect much from a vertical drama. Dropped it, but should I really give it a chance? :/

Verticals are definitely some getting used to in terms of the painfully low budget and overall mid-to-awful quality. It's hard to make a case for something that's objectively bad, but to me they're fun and can have cute RR moments (also they're short so the commitment lvl is low). The worst part imo is definitely the fact that the music is 10/10 times filtered out, making it constantly sound distorted. 

My standards are admittedly pretty low since I've been watching low-budget minidramas since I started with asian dramas. Shifting from that to verticals is only a couple of steps down xD If it's not your scene, that's understandable. It's a common sentiment. 

If you want to, you can give it a little more of a try and see if you can handle the style, but otherwise, I'd say it's probably best to skip. Or you could try a different vertical

Well, I tried this one because it's supposedly RR. But I'll try it again tomorrow. Maybe I didn't have enough patience for it today because I didn't sleep a full 8 hours last night. Thanks.

Does anyone know what drama this banner is from? Thanks. At least the name of the actress please. I feel like I've seen her before, but don't know her name.

I'm taking a break from RR, not that I watched a lot so far. I keep looking at Bound by Sin, wanting to watch it and postponing because I have so many started shows already. Literally my on-hold list is brimming with them. Thankfully, my currently watching list is only 6 titles and I decided not to add any more until I finish at least half of them. There will be, in other words, only 6 slots on my watching list.

And of course there's that random dice button for lists. I can definitely watch stuff this way, let MDL decide for me. Until there will be no more titles in my ptw/on-hold. I do hope to reach that state one day.

I also limited the ptw to 200 titles max. Currently not adding any more titles either.

@Arclei, maybe you can limit your lists? Capping them with a limit works quite well, I think. You're more likely to watch something if you see less titles in your lists too.

It's from It's Okay to Not Be Okay if I remember correctly. The actress is Seo Yea Ji.

Alright I replaced all the banners from my profile with others but now they're huge. I might make them half their size. Now all the titles are okay.

I might watch Bound by Sin this week since I keep thinking about it... hmm

Haha, maybe but tbh save for my RR lists and some others, I mostly ignore my lists and just use them to keep track of things I find/liked

It better work. I don't want to go through deleting my ptw list again. It's time consuming, at least half an hour to an hour, depending on number of titles. I have checked my ptw today and nothing warrants deleting so the capping thing works, so far.

It's not bad. Especially not for a republican drama. It's not quite the level of Qi Xiaxia and Jin Chao's dramas imo, but it has the bodyguard x heiress trope, femdom x malesub and a very forward and flirty FL with a very repressed and obedient ML. The leads' dynamic I will say is quite unusual for an RR drama. It's more subtle in its depiction, kinda treading the line of traditional at times but ultimately showing a pretty complex reversal of roles and power play. The steamy scenes are pretty dang neat too

As for the overall quality of the show... Visually it's pretty nice, the acting and OST are also pretty good, but the story is... messy and the lack of attention to detail is glaring. 

I'm about halfway and not too keen on where they're taking it but the beginning was nice.
