So I watched Creation of the Gods II: Demon Force with my brother yesterday because we had seen the previous movie and really liked it and though the movie definitely disappointed me overall, I was quite surprised to find role reversal...
I mean, the main reason is obviously FL who's literally the lead general of Shang Dynasty and oh.my.god!!! Probably the best female general depiction I've seen from an asian drama/movie. Like, she's cold, clever, confident and maybe even slightly arrogant. She's a hardass, with scars, and a presence that demands respect and she looks so incredibly badass!! She also fights like a demon!!
And the best part? She's the villain/antagonist!! And her mission? To capture ML!

So we have this youthful righteous sensitive ML that's being persecuted and repeatedly defeated by this absolute legend of a FL. Because wow does bro get his butt kicked by her. She captures him at least twice
and... (spoilers ahead)
She later has a change of heart so she saves him repeatedly. The highlight scene is when he's locked up in her camp and she rescues him in the middle of the night and they ride off together BUT they end up being stopped by the bigger villain and so ML ends up riding with FL on the same horse but he's behind herrrr <33

The romance is never quite confirmed but it's so heavily implied that I don't think they need to outright say it. It's the kinda romance that's there but with no kissing or love confessions. The kinda romance that isn't in the romance genre, if that makes sense.

First things first...

For those that maybe missed it... @Alex kindly made the RR Club Member Recommendation List!

Be sure to check it out and follow the instructions at the bottom of this section to add your own! Let's get them recommendations going!

Also... I seem to be only slightly addicted to making and participating of challenges so uh... I suddenly got the urge to maybe do a RR watch challenge and finally use that last reserved slot in the index. This was largely sparked by @flow who mentioned being interested in a RR watch challenge some time ago (sheesh, back in April, lol) and well... it took me a while but I think we could do something with this...

So... I wanted to ask y'all what you thought about this

Let me know what you think and what I should change/improve/add/etc. If you have any ideas for prompts or anything, let me know. I want it to be as accessible as possible but the trope is niche and the RR tag isn't very comprehensive nor easy to get added so we can only really go by word of mouth for reccs.

I was thinking of keeping it within the club because I'm always hesitant about making new threads, especially for something this niche, but if y'all think it's better someplace else, let me know ^^

Edit: I slept on it and I personally think a separate thread would be ideal for this so we don't fill the thread with very lengthy posts, but I'm still open to opinions.

omg I'm honored to have sparked the interest for an RR challenge! I was thinking maybe it's time I watched some more RR and a challenge would be perfect for this.

Awesome, I'm in! It makes sense to add this as an unlimited time challenge as there aren't as many RR titles out there to make it on a yearly basis.

Yeah, this is also why I made the challenge not too specific because though there are quite some RR titles out there, most aren't marked as such so it's a bit tricky to figure out what actually is RR and what isn't, lol. 

I will still try to participate annually though, I watch a lot of RR dramas per year anyways xD

I mean, my part is mostly done but I was hoping to get feedback on what the other club members thought. Was mostly debating if keeping it here was the best idea or if it'd be better to move it onto a separate thread to keep this one clear from very lengthy posts xD

As for badges, I already cooked up some! Any specific drama/image you'd like? 

I mean, if you want you're free to get started on here and you can always move your post over to the new thread if we decide to go that route? Up to you

FL is a badass bodyguard, ML (not the man in the cover, lol) is a single father farmer? I MEAN, CMON!! How did I not hear about this drama sooner? I stumbled upon it by accident during my routine check on the Bodyguard FL tag :O

And it's a romance thriller... I mean, what more can one ask for?
Also friendly reminder that Queen Mantis is gonna start airing over-tomorrow ^-^ Strongly considering watching it while it airs but I'm hesitaaaaaant

oh I'm in no rush, I'll wait until everyone chimes in about this.

As for myself, either way is okay but it would be nice to see everyone's challenge posts in one place rather than have to scroll on here among general messages.

That's cool you already made some badges! I was thinking maybe a badge from Zhang Gong Zhu Zai Shang would work well! That one and Dong Lan Xue, but I'm partial to the former. ^^
