angeliviki2022:

Is anyone watching The Tale of Lady Ok? MDL lists WeTV but WeTV doesn't have it. Just wondering where I can watch this show. Thanks.

It's available on kisskh (.co/.la/.id) and onetouch tv (a mobile apps).

Hi everyone!

I wanted to make an overview of Korean Historical dramas of all periods, so I could see what I watched in order of period, and I discovered it already exists! Maybe some of you like it too so I'll share it here: Rillas' List of Korean K-Dramas/Movies on Historical Timetable

So then I played around again and made a Historical K-Drama Challenge. If you would like something like this, please check it out! :)

Made a few badges for the challenge

posted all the badges here https://kisskh.at/discussions/creativity-forum/69619-badges-banners?pid=3235164&page=23#p3235164

That's nice to see that there are still people passionate about sageuk here. ^^ The conversations were mostly around Chinese dramas, which I don't watch, so I haven't visited for a long time.

I will check your lists movietourist313, and comment in case I see any missing title, as I watched my fair share of sageuk too. ^^ (Dramas // Films)

And I would have tried your challenged if possible, but I don't really have new sageuk to watch actually so I think it will be difficult for me.

Thank you so much Rien for the badges, they look beautiful!!

Thank you!

I also realized that it's quite difficult to do the challenge when you've already watched a lot of sageuk dramas, because some periods don't have enough dramas too choose from. That's why I also didn't make it a strict rule to only allow people to add what they haven't watched yet.

For myself, I have now already filled in a few dramas I already watched to see how much of Korea's whole history I have already seen (as that's kind of my purpose for this challenge), but I'll try to delete some of those dramas and watch different ones in their place when I find some good ones.

Who else is watching 'The Queen Who Crowns'? It's historically inaccurate, I get it. But I'm wondering what the deal is with all the negativity towards it. I actually enjoy it!

I have just started it (currently halfway through ep 2), and I'm also really enjoying it! But that's also partly because I finished watching Six Flying Dragons 2 weeks ago, so I understand the historical background quite better. Even if it's not historically accurate, that's fine by me, it's still a great drama

Totally agree! It’s great to hear you're enjoying it. I’ve been scrolling through the comments and folks are criticizing it for its inaccuracy and also the nudity. Like man, it’s a dramatized version of history, so just soak in the drama. And I really love the Queen. This is my first time watching Cha Jooyoung and I’m already a fan,

Yeah she is good! I also haven't seen much of this cast before (except for some of the older ones), and they are all great.

I recently added Liu Shi Shi's Kill My Sins on my ptw since it's rumored to start airing on February 7th. It's a Tang dynasty investigation wuxia drama, there are also Shawn Dou and Zheng Ye Cheng. The action scene in youtube shorts look great. I'm so excited for Liu Shi Shi~

And I'm currently watching Wang Xing Yue and Lu Yu Xiao's Perfect Match. It's about a widowed single mother trying to marry all her daughters. Wang Xing Yue and Lu Yu Xiao's characters are already married, now the story is moving into the oldest daughter and her second husband. I like this kind of story.

I'm watching it as well and really enjoying it. Gives me a Pride & Prejudice and Sense & Sensibility, Chinese style, kind of vibe.

Yes, it gives Jane Austen vibe, that's why it's so interesting. Frost_edelweiss posting the relationship chart in Notes about Perfect Match in English, and I see the fifth daughter's husband (WinWin) will snatch the bride (the fifth daughter). Wuah, that's so exciting.

Queen Woo 8/10

Was it the best thing I've ever watched? No. Was the insta travelling ridiculous? Yes. Was I a fan of the FL's acting? No. Did I enjoy it? Surprisingly, yes.

Late to the party, but I just started watching A Dream of Splendor and I'm really enjoying it. The leads pretty much knew they felt something for each other by episode 5, but too many things are going on for them to focus on themselves.  I'm pretty excited about this show.

I'm excited for Si Jin tomorrow's premiere. After it was rumored to air in 2025, I immediately read (now completed) the manhua last December. But I also watched another 2 non-historical airing C-dramas. T-T
