I'm with you on this. I get bored with too much of it and can even lose interest if there's way too much!

Just finished episode 7 of "Legend of Zang Hai", and what an intense episode it is! The story keeps getting better 👍.

On Legend of Zang Hai, I'm at episode 28 where I shed some tears twice.

On the journey of revenge not only others getting hurt, even Zang Hai himself keeps getting hurt and even questioning his own conduct. And I think Zang Hai is losing hope, like being alive or dead no longer matter and he just wish the third person to just come, meet, and get him. That was heartbreaking, especially so because I feel the whole revenge plan is just the masked man using him to eliminate his enemies + ex-allies and to find Gu seal. 

I look into the masked man's eyes and it looks like a woman's eyes. But maybe it's just my imagination because I keep thinking about Mr. Eight as the master of disguise and how Xiang Antu owns various entertainment shops that's practically information hub. Highly suspicious.

I watched The Story of Ming Lan twice and I also read the novel -it's actually a transmigration novel- but the translator left it so I haven't completed it.

Have you watch Story of Yanxi Palace? It's a harem story but it's great. Usually the emperor/king did have harem. Isn't there's a Chinese emperor with 3000 wives? And even popular drama like Dong Yi is a harem drama. I haven't completed it since previously I watched it on TV and I had an activity that kept me busy at that hour. Then I'm too lazy to restart.

But yeah, I think it's about preferences in the end since I also avoid several themes.

those two are both on my radar. If done well, it can be a really effective and good theme, but if it drags on too long, and is jus t all about women getting back at each other to get a few points with a man,  I'm gone.  It needs to be intelligent and I've heard Story of Yanxi Palace delivers that too.  Reverse harem can be good, like Jun Jiu Ling which I thoroughly love.

They're both based on real history (with some seasoning ofc), and have a lot of similarities, but the vibes they give are different. Very recommended.

I get you, I really like Story of Kunning Palace, Love Like the Galaxy, and there's this micro drama titled Feng Jun which I quite liked. As for Jun Jiu Ling, it's my cousin's favorite but unfortunately it's not for me.

Me too, so these days I watched 1-2 episodes of several dramas and make a quick judgement to delete it, save it for later, or keep watching it.

I tried LLG, can't take the FL so I had to drop it. And OMG I have been looking everywhere for Feng Jun, I cannot seem to find it. kisskh doesn't have it so my search continues!

Hahaha, I also dropped several of her dramas (maybe 2 modern dramas and 2 costume dramas) and I don't plan to watch any of her future dramas.

Usually micro dramas only available in youtube, dailymotion, bilibilitv, facebook, tiktok, or similar phone apps since it's vertical dramas. And several people used to post the links in mdl drama page comments.
