The thing about KBLs that is most off-putting for me personally is the toxic Korean drinking culture which features in most of them. Unlike some KBL critics, I don't really care about the usual lack of snogging, tongue slurping, or steamy NC scenes.
On the plus side, I like the fact that most KBLs have a total runtime of 2-3 hours and are usually tightly focused around a single storyline with just a few relevant characters. I dearly love Thai BLs, but they're a big time investment, and keeping track of all the characters can be a challenge.

OK, that's a fair point in many (but not all) KBLs (and arguably JBLs, too). Also, our connection with Thai character pairings is often amplified by our pre-existing bond with the established actor pairings which the Thai artist management companies (especially GMMTV and Domundi) cultivate so effectively.

Ok so... I only have like 3-4 Korean BLs fully watched (I've dropped a handful of them), can you guys recommend me some, I wanna cry over some great chemistry, PLEASE
I'm not sure we have the same taste because Our Dating Sim is in my top 5 and you didn't like it, but here are my KBL recs:
- A Breeze of Love A quick watch. Lots of flashbacks to clue us in to their backstory. Satisfying HEA.
- A Shoulder to Cry On Another bully to friends to something more, and it was well done. The leads are idols in the same band IRL, so they already have chemistry from that. As acting newbies, I thought they did really well. Ignore the low rating - people were disappointed that they didn't see a "real" kiss.
TW: One of the MLs has childhood trauma. - Boys Be Brave! So, Jung Ki Sub generally goes with the flow and says yes to anyone who asks him out, asks for his number. But, it seems like for the first time, there's something he himself wants - he want to go out with Jin Woo, but he wants Jin Woo to ask him out because he knows Jin Woo likes him. But Jin Woo is so resistant to this whole idea because he thinks of Ki Sub as a player. Oh, what a chaotic mess.
- Jazz for Two I don't know why I assumed this was just another fluffy BL. It turned to be more than that.
TW: Internalized homophobia - Let Free the Curse of Taekwondo An unexpectedly dark show with adult physical abuse of teens as a means of punishment. But we also have two teens who find comfort, safety and eventually healing in each other.
- Light on Me High school setting, love triangle.
- Love for Love's Sake An unusual show where the ML wakes up within a game and must complete certain missions in a given timeframe. Incredibly well-acted and well-produced.
- Sing My Crush A hidden gem. I love this show.
- To My Star Angsty, 2 Seasons.
- Unintentional Love Story A fired employee approaches the Chairman's favorite artist in order to curry favor and potentially get rehired. The employee watches the reclusive artist from afar, thinking about the best way to approach him. As they interact more, he ends up falling for him.
- Where Your Eyes Linger High school romance where one is super rich and the other is a classmate hired as his bodyguard.

You do such good round-ups! I've seen all except "Taekwondo" and "Unintentional Love Story" (both still in my PTW queue), but your mini-summaries help to remind me of what I've watched and enjoyed in the past.
P.S. Yes, "Sing My Crush" is a hidden gem, especially for the nice music. "Wish You: Your Melody From My Heart" is another nice music-themed KBL which is rarely mentioned.

Oh I feel this. IDK what the problem is, but KBLs are my least favorite. Most of them feel so forgettable--
That is why I can't confidently give KBL recommendations ;;
That being said, I do think Semantic Error and Eight Sense are some of the best BLs I've watched.

I don’t have a heat or cold pack but have taken painkillers which has reduced the pain a bit 😕
