DAY 18 - Top 5 Fav Songs (Currently)
Music preferences, for me, shift constantly based on feelings, moods and life. My picks rn align with deeper emotions related to the loss of family & friends this year. I'd like to honor two ppl below.
1 - Man in Black by Johnny Cash
Dedicated to my Dad
He loved old school country and Johnny Cash was his top fav. He had songs like "Ring of Fire" on all the time when I was little. My dad has the same deep voice as Johnny Cash. Whenever he yelled, which was rare, it would scare the sh*t out of me.
2 - Break the Rules by Ruen Brothers
In memory of my dearest BFF
We met in middle school in the assistant principle's office. We were both in trouble, separately, for not following school rules. We became best buddies. No matter where I was in the world (literally), she was always my steady happy place.
3 - Slowly by The Rose
In an odd way it's healing, but not the lyrics so much. It's Woosung's voice, if heaven had a voice.
4 - Past Lives by Sapientdream
This is on my comfort playlist daily. I never get tired of it.
5 - Stop the Rain by Tablo & RM
I like rap and I like the vibe of this song. The words go deep.
