That's what I said, but for different reasons. 😮

it's funny how different minds go different directions lol

Here I am spamming again...starting off 2026 like I'll prob continue. 🤣🤣

More January titles coming!

01/7   Fan Service

1/10  Oretachi Bad Barbers  (Not sure if it's BL or bromance)

1/25  Love is Real  (I can't find a MDL page) I think it's Japanese?

 Indie Art Girl:
Well, that does it. I'm going to attempt watching Khemjira again. It should be my personal challenge for 2026. I don't HAVE to watch the scary parts though. I wanna see the romance! 💘

See what you've done now! 😆😂🤣

LOL! Well good! You should! It's really not that scary. I'd say it's pretty mild as far as scary goes. Unless you are truly functionally crippled by fear of even small things, I'd strongly urge you not to skip through it. Those moments are intertwined deeply with the story and are what make it such a beautiful, albeit painful, story, despite the fact she's a very vengeful and hateful ghost and the immense harm she inflicted. It's what pulls everything together and leads to one of the most moving parts of the storyline in regard to the main antagonist character, Ramphueng…especially the ending.

In fact, this clip from Khemjira that I made and shared here previously back when I was trying  to find out what song this was, emerged from within of one of those, what you would likely consider, scary scenes. You don't want to miss these moments.

Okie dokie!

Do the characters of Keng and Namping like each other for most of the series? I remember getting to the evil woman's scene and stopping soon after. Why was she so hateful? I was also having trouble understanding what was happening.  It's coming back to me now, lol.

Well, the reason why is fully explained in the story eventually, and I was dying to know what her backstory was as well when I was watching it when it was airing. It's one of the most painful and moving parts of the story about her and key to understanding everything around her and the curse that's on Khem and his ancestors for many prior generations leading up to this time. It's also key to the fantastic ending that completely blew me away. The story and the writing for Khemjira were world-class.

That helps, thanks! I put it on one of my challenges for this year. It'll be my third attempt at watching it, so they say 3rd times a charm.

I love games so much so I'm very happy rn for joining some of the challenges and seeing some of my BL friends on the same challenge pages! It's a small thing but feels lots of fun for me.

I forgot to answer this one. It's a well paced burn as you go forward each episode. Trust the story progression on this one. I greatly enjoyed their interplay.

Linking this post since your first response about Khemjira was too long to quote.

If you want to watch but have trouble forgetting upsetting visual images if you see them (like my wife), I’d be happy to rewatch episode-by-episode ahead of you and give you a list for each one of the scary parts and when they come up. I like rewatching shows, (and making lists), and I know not everyone can handle every part of every show. I had a friend who used to do this for me with everything I watched and it really helped me prepare for things that were hard for me personally to watch without warning. (Unfortunately she cant do that for me anymore so I often just read spoilers. But sometimes the spoilers make the show seem worse than it is.)

I actually don’t like horror at all but I don’t have a good memory and images don’t stick in my head so if I can get through the scary parts I can forget them and just focus on the rest. I  didn’t think Khemjira had a lot of upsetting horror imagery after the first few episodes. There was maybe one other scary episode In the middle of the series, and then things ramp up at the end. You do need to be able to tolerate the exaggerated vein ghost makeup because the female ghost is an important part of the story/ending and she gets a little scarier-looking towards the end. But other than her story, there are many less important parts you could skip over if necessary to get through it.

The stories of the couples in the present are quite slow burn, but the overall structure of the show and its story is very interesting. Plus a lot of the ghost side of the story is based on traditional Thai folk beliefs. I saw an interesting reel about it but it will reveal major spoilers so I’ll save it for now.

since i’m not especially into ghost stories, it wasn’t my favorite show of the year, but it was very well-done and I absolutely adored both couples.

again, I REALLY don’t mind doing this and would be happy if it could help you, so let me know. I posted here instead of sending a private message because maybe this could help someone else. (I already have notes for The Sign written up, but that’s the uncut YouTube version. Also it only includes the present-day violence part of the story.)

anyway, putting this out there. anyone can message me if you might want a pre-watch for something at a later date. My only caveat is I do have my own triggers, especially about mental health/suicide stuff, so I can’t watch every show. But in 2025 i think I watched 95% of BLs released internationally, if we exclude vertical dramas, so the ones i avoid are very infrequent.

 Indie Art Girl:
I stopped watching when the guy on the exam table squirted.

I'm sold. Now adding to my PTW list.

On a related subject: @RXinw, I thought this might lure you away from your busy schedule. Nice to hear from our esteemed CSO!

@Art Girl: Only you know your limits (horror and otherwise), but I personally agree with Jadeheart: I didn't think "Khemjira" was so scary, and it's really worth watching beginning to end. If you skip over parts, I fear you'll miss out on important context. It was so good in so many ways - in my opinion, the best BL of 2025. (Not just saying this out of fawning adoration for my most dearly beloved Namping!)

I don't know if i will watch the racer and his dr perfect. I'm really not a fan of the vertical format but I will probably watch one for the bl challenge. I'm a bit curious about The killer next door i don't know if someone watched it.

 Jadeheart:

Had a long day today and about to eat dinner and settling into ep 11 of We Are. This has been a really fun and silly series so far. I LOVE this song for the series that Pond & Phuwin sang.

I like this song so much I didn't listen to it for a while but since Me and Thee started airing I listen to it almost everyday and listen to Phuwin Pond and Jasper a lot.

 Jadeheart:

I wanted this song SO BAD when Khemjira ended, but this was the one song from the series that they had not yet released. Some of you might remember me losing my mind trying to find it, figure out the name of the song, and posting about it in here lol. I forgot to keep checking to see if they released it yet, and I somehow missed it when it dropped 4 weeks ago. GOD I LOVE THIS SONG!!! Keng & Namping are incredible! It's one of the most beautiful songs that I've ever heard, and it makes me tear up at how beautiful it is every time I listen to it. I commented before that I want this to be my wedding song one day.

Such a beautiful song i honestly forgotten about it but thank you for posting it so I can listen to it again. It sounds so romantic.

@IndieArtGirl I'm not a fan of horror at all if I remember correctly only the first two episodes were a bit scary to me. The worse was the start of episode 1 because I thought that all the show would be like that but i was wrong. This drama is really worth it I'm glad that I kept watching.

Like you said the 3rd time will do the charm.

I don't know for you but we are the morning of the 2th of January and my year is still being generated i hope I will have it today I'm curious. If I don't have mine but a lot of people from here have theirs I will just watch yours instead 😆

 iota:

WHEN HE WHAT

i wasn't gonna go watch a vertical drama.. but now i'm a little curious... 🤣🤣

When he... Yes, that one made made me laugh 😆

Aw, thank you so much for the offer, Dora. You're being so kind! I'll give it one more go on my own, especially since everyone says most of the horror element is in the first few eps. I'll go with the flow and not worry about trying to figure it out too much.

Thank u! I'll do my best to watch it whole, lol.

Glad to have your opinion as well! I feel very encouraged, thank u!

I would jump right in now but it's 2:30am and I haven't gotten to sleep yet.

ETA:  I just noticed I'm over 365 days of drama watching by 2.5 hrs. *sigh*

uploaded all the badges to the bl watch challenge I made so far.

I tried to get all main colors.

if you want another drama for your badge pls dm me. :)
