Indie Art Girl:
That helps, thanks! I put it on one of my challenges for this year. It'll be my third attempt at watching it, so they say 3rd times a charm.
I love games so much so I'm very happy rn for joining some of the challenges and seeing some of my BL friends on the same challenge pages! It's a small thing but feels lots of fun for me.

Indie Art Girl:
Okie dokie!
Do the characters of Keng and Namping like each other for most of the series? I remember getting to the evil woman's scene and stopping soon after. Why was she so hateful? I was also having trouble understanding what was happening. It's coming back to me now, lol.
Linking this post since your first response about Khemjira was too long to quote.
If you want to watch but have trouble forgetting upsetting visual images if you see them (like my wife), I’d be happy to rewatch episode-by-episode ahead of you and give you a list for each one of the scary parts and when they come up. I like rewatching shows, (and making lists), and I know not everyone can handle every part of every show. I had a friend who used to do this for me with everything I watched and it really helped me prepare for things that were hard for me personally to watch without warning. (Unfortunately she cant do that for me anymore so I often just read spoilers. But sometimes the spoilers make the show seem worse than it is.)
I actually don’t like horror at all but I don’t have a good memory and images don’t stick in my head so if I can get through the scary parts I can forget them and just focus on the rest. I didn’t think Khemjira had a lot of upsetting horror imagery after the first few episodes. There was maybe one other scary episode In the middle of the series, and then things ramp up at the end. You do need to be able to tolerate the exaggerated vein ghost makeup because the female ghost is an important part of the story/ending and she gets a little scarier-looking towards the end. But other than her story, there are many less important parts you could skip over if necessary to get through it.
The stories of the couples in the present are quite slow burn, but the overall structure of the show and its story is very interesting. Plus a lot of the ghost side of the story is based on traditional Thai folk beliefs. I saw an interesting reel about it but it will reveal major spoilers so I’ll save it for now.
since i’m not especially into ghost stories, it wasn’t my favorite show of the year, but it was very well-done and I absolutely adored both couples.
again, I REALLY don’t mind doing this and would be happy if it could help you, so let me know. I posted here instead of sending a private message because maybe this could help someone else. (I already have notes for The Sign written up, but that’s the uncut YouTube version. Also it only includes the present-day violence part of the story.)
anyway, putting this out there. anyone can message me if you might want a pre-watch for something at a later date. My only caveat is I do have my own triggers, especially about mental health/suicide stuff, so I can’t watch every show. But in 2025 i think I watched 95% of BLs released internationally, if we exclude vertical dramas, so the ones i avoid are very infrequent.
