OMG, it's going to be messy!

 iwantdrama:

I find myself just randomly thinking of the lonely whale that can't communicate with other whales and i feel so sad. 180 degree longitude hit so hard and i think it was really well acted even though like you said, it was a little clumsy at times

i very much agree. i think the acting, especially from pond, really brought it all together

 Indie Art Girl:

I tried to watch this series once...tried the first few eps anyways, lol. I didn't understand some of it (I keep saying that a lot these days) and it was really slooooooow. The deal-breaker was I learned what kind of ending I was in for.

I def got "Indie" vibes though!

honestly i think bc i knew from the start that the ending was going to be more sad, the tension really pulled me in. and the dialogue and imagery oftentimes had multiple layers to it so for me i think it gave my brain enough to chew on to keep me from getting too bored. but it definitely was a little confusing at times. again, i thought the writing was just a little bit clumsy. i think the show had a lot it was trying to convey, which got a bit muddy and unfocused at times. i can definitely see how it could be boring, especially at the beginning

and yes definitely more "indie" vibes, which ofc i liked :)

 p43425:

What especially impressed me (as a Thai BL) is that it was serious drama with intelligent dialogue (rather like a stage play) and (most astonishingly) zero product placements.

it really does stand out from other thai bl's i've seen, i think comparing it to a stage play is very accurate. and i really appreciated not being smacked with an ad in the middle of my crying lol

 Tiffany:

I enjoyed it even if it was a bit heavy sometimes it's nice to watch  sometimes something else than comedy. I think it was with this that I discover Pond Ponlawit (and he was gorgeous in it).

i agree, it was heavy but a very worthwhile experience. and a nice change of pace from the bl's i usually watch. and pond looks absolutely beautiful the whole time which is a huge plus 😁

Yes finally I was waiting for it ! It's going to be so messy 😆

i just finished love in protocol, it was cute! i do wish that there had been a little more time spent fleshing out the characters and their relationship, i think there was quite a bit that i would have liked to see explored more. but you can only fit so much in a short web series so i get it. overall it got a 7.5 from me and i'll be watching more from gnd studio in the future :)

i got my degree in psychology so it was cool to see arthur and elaine aron's 36 questions brought up in the show. although it's a bit of a misrepresentation to say the questions "lead to love" and their methodology was not exactly up to par, i'll suspend my real world judgements for the sake of bl enjoyment 😆 i remember being very interested in the arons' original experiment back in my early psych classes. since then, i've made a habit of running through the 36 questions (AND the eye contact exercise) with all my close friends and partners at least once. whether romantic or platonic or whatever else, it's a fun way to build a connection with someone. with a partner and a couple of my friends, we do the questions every few years or so. it's always fun to see how our answers change over time

I'm catching up on His Man S4 and it just feels sad. Like I can't get excited for any of the couples. Almost like very few are trying.

Yesterday - episodes 1 - 2

I have risen to get back in the game of currently airing series for this one right here.

I will not even comment too much on the production because it is expensive looking as expected.

What I love about these first two episodes is how much they managed to pack into them in order to establish a plot foundation. I think we got a solid account of events that led to where the story will jump off from. I appreciate this because it gets to the parts that hooked me from the trailer in short order. I tend to love brevity the more I study, and it seems to be leaking into other areas of my life lol

The chemistry between Fort and Peat is as palpable as ever. Their chemistry is such that it pulls you in even before the plot of the story; it is one of the reasons why they are able to carry a series even when the plot is vapid.

I like how this time around we see Peat playing a role where he is the one actively pursuing Fort's character, and is obsessed. I look forward to seeing things unfold on this front.

It is safe to say that I enjoyed these first two episodes, and I look forward to watching this series in full while it airs.

Thanks. I wasn't sure what to expect from this one and thus wanted to wait for feedback, but now I'll notch up the priority.

The run of good JBLs starting in the latter part of last year continues:

I'm now watching today's ep. 5 of "Countdown to Yes" - and lovin' it! (It's a sweet and gentle slow burn, so one has to like those kinds of BLs, which I do.)

I'm also up to ep. 4 in my catch-up watch of "Boy Next World: My Destiny" - and to be honest, I'm enjoying it more than the Thai original for the reason that I know where the messy story is going and don't have to struggle to make sense of everything. And although it's hard to compete with Boss & Noeul, I really love Nagumo Shoma and Hamaya Takuto.

The next episode of "Cosmetic Playlover S2" isn't till Friday, but I'm also very much enjoying this one because of the lead characters/actors (although as with S1, less so for the story, at least so far).

+++

Also on my agenda today: more talking cats (i.e. today's ep. 4 of "Cat for Cash") and more Poom Nuttapart (i.e. today's ep. 4 of "Peach Lover").

 Indie Art Girl:
I haven't watched the first series, Only Friends, so I know nothing about this

I also haven't watched "Only Friends" S1, but from what I've heard, it's too steamy and sticky for sweet innocent you.

Not me, though: I'm immune to steamy. I plan to watch S2 after doing a long overdue binge-watch of S1.

Duang with you ep2 : Like the first episode it was silly and cute and it will probably stay like this until the end. It's a great watch 😁

Enjoy the sugar rush ...

I continue to marvel at how much Teetee Wanpichit (now 20yo) has grown in confidence, camera/stage presence, acting ability and irresistable fluffy cuteness since he walked into "DMD Friendship the Reality" a bit over two years ago as a nervous 18yo.

😇

I hope you'll share ur thoughts on S1 and let me know if this drama lives up to it's reputation!

I'm waiting to watch Countdown to Yes and Cosmetic Playlover S2 after they finish airing. Other series I'm waiting on is Hard Nights, His Man S4, Long-Term Relationship and Yesterday.

Let Me Into Your Heart has one ep left to air.

Other titles I need to catch up on are Besides the Sky, Boys Lost in Thailand, The Boyfriend S2, and DMD The Third Chapter,

*Sigh*....

Dee Hup House announced their 2026 BL projects. Here's the titles I'm aware of.

I Flower You

Don't Be Too Emotional

Here's a short film on YT. I haven't watched yet but saw it mentioned on insta.
